Najran City – An Introduction
Najran region lies in the south west part of Saudi Arabia, near to the Yemen border . Najran history dates back to 4,000 years that unravels ancestral remnants of Arabian habitat, trade, livestock and agriculture. The archaeological town of Al-Okhdood (mentioned in the Holy Quran) is one of the most important archaeological sites in Najran region. Najran is a seat of history and civilization that holds a rich and enduring historical diversity. Najran city is the administrative center of Najran Province, where historical buildings, scenic nature, nature reserves, theme parks, gardens and traditional souks (markets) create a wonderful and attractive diversity. Najran retail market mainly comprised of strip retails showrooms . Few medium level super markets/hyper markets like Othaim Market, Najran Mall and Hyper Panda are located in different areas of the city. Retail showrooms are mostly targeting local residents and tourists visiting the city for different purposes. Few retail shopping centers are also located in different parts of the city, hosting some national & international brands and mostly an anchor tenant is part of their tenant mix.
