Description The current economic status of the mortgage/home equity lending and servicing industry has created a need for increased visibility and valuation for performing and non-performing loan portfolios. Enhanced focus on bank balance sheets, Basel II requirements, and potential changes in Fair Value accounting rules for banks is requiring tools for bank executives, risk managers, and portfolio managers to understand the value of their assets on the balance sheet in real time. Financial executives need to assess historic behaviour in conjunction with current market conditions in order to predict the future performance of their financial assets. The Portfolio Diagnostics product provides financial institutions with the ability to utilize current and historical portfolio data in order to pin-point Risk Exposure, manage to risk adjusted return on capital, value the assets, and analyze various segments of their portfolios at the cash-flow level. So the problem is Limited visibility and availability to source data and it affects the financial institutions. So the impact of which is the inability to effectively assess loan portfolio performance or risk exposure.
Provide financial analysts and executives with the reporting and analysis tools needed to evaluate key loan, servicing and current condition data which drives the decision making to maximize profits for performing loans and minimize losses for distressed assets.

Description ITC’s position as a CPG market leader in India is reinforced by its strong S&D and Brand Planning, Execution and Evaluation processes. To the heart of these processes are the detailed information on outlets and markets across India, based on which the targeting and planning is done.
For this purpose, ITC maintains a database of all the outlets and stores information like the geographical details, profile, turnover, brand / category stocking, merchandising information etc. of these outlets.
The outlet data is based on census data, collected by a third party once in three years for all markets. (Classified according to population greater than 2.5 lakhs and less than 2.5 Lakhs)
This outlet information is then used at various levels in the organizational hierarchy for planning and execution purposes. The outlet information being dynamic in nature needs to be updated at regular intervals to facilitate effective planning and targeting. The updation is required primarily to facilitate the following:
Addition of a New Outlet Closure of existing outlets Change in volume information Change in classification logic Change in ITC organization hierarchy or Change in the WD servicing an outlet
Page 10 of 17
Hence, as a part of the TM&D project, processes have been designed and solution to put in place a robust mechanism to capture and cleanse new census information, update the outlet data regularly and synchronize all related systems to enable the processes. These processes are primarily designed around the following:
Demarcating Markets to ITC hierarchy Cleansing outlet data Capture and Validate New Outlet Census information Capture New Outlet Addition information Capture Outlet Closure Information Capture Outlet Modification information regularly and consistently. Capture changes in ITC organization hierarchy and WD-Outlet
association
