Project Engineers are responsible for assisting the Project Manager and the Superintendent in project management and administration. A Project Engineer must have good organizational, communication, and computer skills and may be responsible for much of the following: • Project Documentation • Updating the Progress Schedule • Coordination of Work • Assisting with Cost Control • Material Control • Project Closeout • Submittal Reviews
Field Engineers are responsible for all layout responsibilities throughout every phase of construction. They must have good organizational and communication skills and know how to use a variety of survey equipment (level, transit, theodolite, total station). May be responsible for much of the following: • Site Layout • Assisting in Site Supervision • Establishing Grade Elevations • Coordination of Work • Establishing Layout Controls • Safety Supervision • Building Layout • Quality Control
