3.0 Product Disassembly Process 3.1 List the basic steps that should typically be followed to remove components and materials requiring selective treatment:
1) Remove and disassemble duplexer. 2) Remove and disassemble scanner assembly. 3) Remove case parts and sort according to plastic part marking. 4) Remove and disassemble control panel from main case part. 5) Set aside items requiring selective treatment from scanner assembly, control panel and chassis.
3.2 Optional Graphic. If the disassembly process is complex, insert a graphic illustration below to identify the items contained in the product that require selective treatment (with descriptions and arrows identifying locations).

Figure 2 & 3 – To remove duplexer: press the connection button (refer to red arrows) and detach it from printer base. Refer to Figure 15 for instruction on duplexer disassembly. To remove scanner assembly (part I): unscrew on the front
and back of printer case (refer to red circles), give a push underneath the scanner glass part.
Figure 4 & 5 – To remove scanner assembly (part II): open up the scanner assembly from printing mechanism, gently remove cable connecting scanner assembly and the main PCA. Refer to Figure 16 & 17 for scanner disassembly
instruction.
