• Tendency to choose either cheaper, affordable food or “healthy” food;
• Strong influence of Lithuanian nutrition traditions;
• The society lacks basic information on healthy nutrition.

• Conference “Decreasing obesity and the encouragement of physical activity in Lithuania: problems and possible solutions” – organized by Ministry of Health (2006); – adopted resolution to launch new
programs of physical activity in schools.

2008 – 2009 m.
- Partnership with Ministries of Health and Education and Science, media: Daily newspapers “Panevezio balsas” and “Gimtasis Rokiskis“, journal “Sveikas zmogus”.-Situation analysis: survey on schoolchildren healthy lifestyle habits in Panevezys region. -- Project presentation: 7 seminars and press conference - Implementation of the project:
Guidebook “Education of well-balanced nutrition and physical activity at school” for the teachers; Publication of booklet for youth.Preparation of regulations for 2 contest for schools:“My dream break” and “Healthiada”;19 schools commemorated Europe’s Healthy Nutrition Day.

Repeated survey of students;Press conference;Final thanksgiving event.
- Partnership with media;
- Project presentation for teachers:18 seminars in Vilnius and Kaunas regions. The seminar topics:

IV. FB is fundraising for the project of the coming year.
I. FB presents the project plan and yearly budget to donors board;
