FO | Microsoft OData Connected
Service
Using the OData v4 Client Code Generator?
Consider the OData Connected Service as an
alternative solution.
Add the Connected Service and select just the
data entities you need for your integration.
This tool generates code to facilitate
consumption of OData services. It will generate a
DataServiceContext and classes for each of the
entity types and complex types found in the
service description. This tool is functionally
equivalent to the Add Service Reference for
OData V3 service.

FO | Power Platform Integration
with Finance and Operations
Virtual entities
Finance and Operations apps are a virtual data source
in Dataverse, and enable full create, read, update, and
delete (CRUD) operations from Dataverse and
Microsoft Power Platform. By definition, the data for
virtual entities doesn't reside in Dataverse.
One copy of the data stored FO exposed through DV.
Dual-Write
Dual-write provides tightly coupled, bidirectional
integration between Finance and Operations apps and
Dataverse. Any data change in Finance and Operations
apps causes writes to Dataverse, and any data change
in Dataverse causes writes to Finance and Operations
apps. This automated data flow provides an integrated
user experience across the apps.
Two copies of the data.

Power Apps Portals | Portal Studio vs. Portal Management
When editing a Power Apps portal, there are a couple of different
interfaces that one will work with.
One recurring question, is when to use the Portal Studio versus
when to use Portal Management.
Portal Studio
• A no-code, WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) designer
• Intended for Front-end designers and consultants
Portal Management
• A model-driven app deployed when Portals are provisioned
• Intended for advance configurators, developers and admins

Dynamics 365 | Disable Smart Matching EmailHashBase table
population for Dataverse
Smart Matching is a legacy email correlation method
from as far back as CRM 4.0.
People familiar with Server-Side Synchronization
know this feature.
Now, there are newer methods of Email Correlation
that use an Exchange item's ConversationIndex to
correlate that email to an existing thread. This does
not require Smart Matching or Tracking Tokens.
