“The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,And miles to go before I sleep.”
Robert Frost
Thanks for reading me. After doing my 5 years long under graduation in architecture, I started my career as an architect in 2006. During my involvement as an architect I was also involved as a faculty in the department of architecture, I was intrigued by the theoretical and practical aspects of Architecture and that actually helped me to pursue for the masters' program in 'European Masters in Diagnosis and Repair of Building' and in doing that I was awarded the highest European academic scholarship named “Erasmus Mundus Scholarship' funded by the European Union. During this study program, I had the opportunities to explore European architectural practices and also to work with some European architects. These opportunities further helped and inspired me to gain advanced knowledge in Architecture in our contemporary highly diverse society. Upon my return, I tried to introduce the advanced theory that I have learned during my masters in architectural practice. I also had opportunities to share those experiences in Europe and Asia (United Kingdom, India, Singapore) through different academic and professional interactions.
In the next few pages I try to splash some of my creative work in the realm of Architecture. I also included some of my creative work, for instance sketching, photography, traveling, software expertise etc. I did not include my poetry and creative writings in here because most of them are in Bengali. However, I am able to communicate in English, Hindi and Urdu also basic Italian as well as Spanish. I also found of music, reading books and traveling and traveled many cities in Europe, Asia and Middle East. I love to play piano, reading and mixing with people around the world. Thank you very much for reading such a long narration and your time in my work.

The restaurant is an 8 weeks project introduced in 2nd year beside a lake. The methodologies and approaches to restaurant design are as varied as the restaurant concepts in existence today. The steps in the restaurant design process can be expanded or collapsed to suit your tastes for level of detail. There are hundreds of inter-dependent decisions and steps. Generally, the timing of these projects can range from several very intense weeks to potentially a year or more for large-scale development projects moving at a steady pace.
Though there were simple functions but the complexity lay in it designs guidelines. For instance, Minimize or eliminate west facing glazing, raising the indoor comfort temperature limit will reduce air conditioning energy consumption, air conditioning will always be required, but can be greatly reduced if building design minimizes overheating, On hot days ceiling fans or indoor air motion can make it seem cooler by at least 5 degrees F (2.8C) thus less air conditioning is needed, Orient most of the glass to the north, shaded by vertical fins, Use plant materials (ivy, bushes, and trees) especially on the west to shade the structure etc.
Beside those guidelines, there are literally hundreds or thousands of elements to take in to consideration in restaurant design. Today's successful restaurant concepts are about more than just “good food, good service, and good atmosphere”.

Analyzing the advancement of Movie Theater and the sequel of movies along with time, I have seen that advertisement and technology played a vital role in the development of both movies and movie theaters. Observing the findings i have generated my concept as “display of sequel". 23In summer 2006 I have joined in a
renowned architectural firm in the
capital. I am so lucky to work with
some of the best architects of that
time in Bangladesh. In the beginning
they give me some work related with
working drawing , interior supervision
and site survey. Later on when I
proved my skill I was sent to another
sector where creative design practice
held on, for instance, model making,
s c h e m a t i c d e s i g n , c o n c e p t
formulation etc. I also involved in
preparing three dimensional design
by various software like 3D studio
Max, Revit Architecture, SketchUp
etc. In here I am giving few works
where I only work as an assistant.

This is an industrial project and the area was 60,000 sq ft in total. The client asking
from us a sweater factory and the chief architect of our team includes my name for
the total working drawing and supervision of the project. This was a huge task for
me in 2007. I have to maintain good relationship with the client as well as the site
contractor as I have to give a demonstration of the project every fortnight. I also note
down the requirements of the client and give feedback to our chief architect. This is
one of the best experience of my life and after year long residential-interior project
this is a new window for industrial project for me.

Title: Reinvigorating The Vernacular Architecture Practices Towards Modernity In Bangladesh:
Abstract:Bangladesh, located in South Asia has a tropical climate with a mild winter, a hot humid summer and a warm and humid monsoon season. Our ancestors always try to explore and find out the possible solutions to live in this climatically divers' country and somehow they found some possible solutions which we could call sustainable and vernacular architecture practices by them. The force of urbanization somehow could not divert the indigenous people stop practicing the vernacular and sustainable architecture. But surprisingly many professionals, city architects fail to realize the necessity to reconcile the vernacular architecture and ideology. Heterogeneity of the Bangladeshi architecture sometime reflects the complex stereotypical mixing of the west. The non reorganization of the heterogeneity makes it immediately clear why architects focus on local culture and vernacular practices. Contemporary attacks on vernacularism in architecture effects greatly on the sustainability and energy conservation issues which have been quite influential to motivate the architects to practice in the transformation of local traditionally built from. The diagnosis of modernity is not particularly easy without adapting the historical roots. Fortunately some of the particularly distinguished architects realized that design decisions about the future need to be practiced on the type of past we experienced and transform vernacular architecture. Many buildings in Bangladesh that can fairly be called “sustainable and vernacular” have achieved great success abroad also define a social identification. This paper elucidates some basic principles of vernacular architecture practices in Bangladesh and how it may influence the contemporary practice that also helps the sustainability issues.

Title: The Transformation Of Skyline Of Dhaka City In Last 50 Years.
Abstract:The profession of architectural practices gained the momentum after the independence of Bangladesh. Rapid urbanization and pressing demand for commercial, housing, institutional facilities etc. resulted transformations of low density areas in high density developments. The zoning regulation and construction rules are being compromised to fulfill the desire of influential entrepreneurs. In absence of supply of urban developed land and inadequacies in urban services and amenities the high rise buildings established its strong footholds in the redevelopment process by Dhaka city predominantly in planning areas. The impact of these developments overloaded the existing infrastructures causing serious imbalance in the distribution of utility services and traffic circulation system. The paper intends to investigate the rationalities behind the chronological transformation of high rise buildings in last 50 years. A brief study and discussion may proceed including following issues:1. The identification of forces and methods that triggered the changes in formal expression and aesthetic appeal.2. Contributions of academia in the ongoing development endeavors. The conclusion of the paper will concentrate on forming a set of observations that may help to attain a clearer picture of the situation and which may lead to future studies on sustainable transformation and redevelopment process.

International OSA ASRO KULeuven- BUET– IAB Workshop ‘ [Re] Visiting Ramna / [Re] Mapping the Place' at BUET, Dhaka, 11-14th of September 2011.The multidisciplinary International OSA ASRO KUleuven– BUET – IAB Workshop explores public space in Ramna and surroundings areas in the heart of the Dhaka, Bangladesh. Today, the area has become an in-between space: between the traditional indigenous and modern colonial part of the city; between old and new; between park and city; between nature and culture.
Despite its privileged position and the extraordinary accumulation of practices that it hosts, this 'everyday public space' by excellence of Dhaka has rarely been the focus of attention for architects, urban designers and planners. In this respect, the International OSA ASRO KULeuven- IAB- BUET workshop aims to explore the significance of everyday public space in Dhaka. The workshop will make this exploration on Ramna (and its surroundings). The workshop participants will challenge traditional readings of place, and aim to discover new interpretations, via a mix of trans (multi) disciplinary processes of data collection, interpretation and (graphical) representation. The aim of the workshop is to contribute to the development of new understandings about the evolution, challenges, issues and opportunities of this in between public space.Diagnostic testing of climate model output
