under the supervision of the arboricultural officer at the district council. EPF/0752/14 Lindsay Trevillian
49 St Johns Road CM16 5DW Mr & Mrs Mick Smith
Ground floor rear extension.
Committee have no objection to this application EPF/0366/14 86 The Plain
CM16 6TW Dr Trevor Blatch
Front two storey and loft extension
Committee have no objection to this application EPF/0418/14 90 The Orchards
CM16 7AT Mrs Lisa Penfold
Rear and side single storey extension
Committee object to this application. Committee feels that the proposed development will be detrimental to both the street scene and the existing building, particularly as this property is a corner plot and therefore particularly visible. Contrary to Policy DBE 10, (i);(ii) and (a) The Orchards is an example of a particular period of urban design in the early 1970s that placed the emphasis on open spaces around properties (hence no boundary fences or hedges) and a uniform external design. There have been a number of recent applications that seek to add unattractive dormers to the roofs of the bungalows and other extensions in this location which detract from the original design and the streetscene as a whole. The Town Council feels that consideration should be given to the Orchards as an area where conservation of the street scene is appropriate, perhaps by removal of permitted development rights, to prevent the street being ruined by irregular dormer extensions. The time to do so is now whilst the majority of the bungalows are still in more or less original condition. EPF/0781/14
The Old Rectory Coopersale Common CM16 7QT Mr Raja Balasuriya
Listed Building consent for Grade II new single-storey outbuilding to be located within the curtilage of Grade II listed Old Rectory
Committee object to this application. The proposed size and scale of the outbuilding is disproportionately large in relation to the original building and has an adverse effect on the setting of the listed building, Contrary to Policy HC12. EPF/0786/14 Retrospective Application
108/110 High Street CM16 4AF
Low level perimeter wall and associated metal railings

Mr Russell Jameson
Committee have no objection to this application EPF/0791/14 18 Barnfield
CM16 6RL Mr Andy Jones
Two storey side extension and loft conversion
Committee have no objection to this application EPF/0803/14 80 The Orchards
CM16 7AT Raife Jones
Installation of two first floor north facing windows contrary to condition restricting windows being installed in North Elevation (EPF/1320/76 (erection of rear extension)
Committee object to this application. They feel the dormer extension itself which has been granted a Lawful Development Certificate is ugly and detrimental to the street scene. Committee feels that the addition of windows to the dormer will result in intrusive overlooking of the neighbouring property. Contrary to Policy DBE 9 Loss of Amenity for neighbouring properties. It will also set a precedent in this street which would likely lead to a proliferation of ugly and intrusive dormer extensions and ruin the aesthetic quality of the street as a whole. The Orchards is an example of a particular period of urban design in the early 1970s that placed the emphasis on open spaces around properties (hence no boundary fences or hedges) and a uniform external design. There have been a number of recent applications that seek to add unattractive dormers to the roofs of the bungalows and other extensions in this location which detract from the original design and the streetscene as a whole.
