How long will Horizon 7.x be supported?
• No plans to drop support
• Expect to support Horizon 7.x for 4-6 years
• Not pushing customers to move to SirsiDynix Symphony
• New releases already in process for 7.x
• Customers can plan the move to SirsiDynix Symphony at
their own pace
How long will Horizon 7.x be supported?
Horizon 7.4.1 & HIP 3.09• Released in December 2007
• Maintenance release for Horizon 7.3/7.4 customers
• Includes many fixes previously provided to individual sites
• Includes and requires HIP 3.0.9 or HIP 4.1.3

• Support for Web Reporter 1.5
• French Canadian version of 7.4.1 & HIP 3.09 – now in beta

Migration Packages for Horizon Customers
SirsiDynix Symphony Upgrade Packages
• New upgrade packages announced at CODI for Horizon
customers
• Each package includes equivalent core software licenses,
database license and services
• Objective is to make the upgrade path from Horizon to
SirsiDynix Symphony easy and affordable
• Three packages are available to Horizon customers:– Harmony Upgrade (base package)– Crescendo Upgrade – Virtuoso Upgrade
SirsiDynix Symphony Upgrade Packages
• Equivalent core SirsiDynix Symphony licenses are free
• Oracle license is free
• Harmony base package is free if:– No RFP process– Extend current maintenance contract by 3 years
• Crescendo and Virtuoso packages have a price but
discounts apply if:– No RFP process: 20%– No RFP process and extend maintenance contract by 3 years: 40%
• Packages exclude services required to move and
implement Addon and Third Party products

• Equivalent software licenses in SirsiDynix Symphony– Core software modules– Staff user licenses

Custom Training courses
• Onsite go-live visit (travel expenses included)
• Cost: $24,970 (after discount applied)
Virtuoso Upgrade Package
• Crescendo package plus
• Additional data customization (authority processing and
LC MARC standardization)
• 2 PocketCirc licenses with handheld equipment
• Acquisitions Workflow Analysis and Consultancy (3 days,
2 days onsite) or 3 days onsite train-the-trainer course
• A SureStart six-months package (4 weekly calls, 5
monthly) for a total period of six months
• Cost: $43,970 (after discount applied)
