A video clip showing somepillars at the Hampi WorldHeritage Site being vandal-ised by a group of personssurfaced on Saturday, spark-ing protests by locals.

The clip shows some mis-creants pushing a big stonepillar. The ArchaeologicalSurvey of India has fi��led acomplaint with the police.

Enquiries revealed thatthe incident occurred at theVishnu temple in ruins.

As the news spread, peo-ple in Hampi and Kamala-pur, including members ofthe Save Hampi Samiti, helda protest and sought action.
