Strength for the Journey
We are living amid a plague, Covid-19. We shelter in
place, attempting to flatten the curve of infection. As
Catholics, we yearn for the day that we can gather,
pray, and sing as a Eucharistic people. In the meantime,
we are called to pray. As you walk the downtown area,
consider using these short pilgrimages as a guide for
praying the rosary. Each decade commemorates places
of worship, centers of first responders, and other
necessities. You can substitute the sites according to
your wishes. Either way, take your time, greet others, as
Jesus would do daily. At the end of your pilgrimage, pray
the following
We plead to you, Our Lady of Mercy, to
intercede for those who are ill, those who
have died, those who have no faith, and
possibly no hope. Help us find the strength to
be Joyful Disciples in the Holy Name of Jesus,
this day, and all days. AMEN.
