NIGERIAN CONTENT POLICY
Nordimpianti Nigeria Limited (NNL) has a clear cut policy of promoting NigerianContent for all of its operations in addition to ongoing knowledge/technologytransfer. Nordimpianti Nigeria Limited (NNL) is a 100% indigenous Nigerian
Company. At present the total company workforce consists of 85% Nigerians. Thiswill be increased to 95% as a result of the ongoing training programs adopted bythe company for staff and engineers thereby exceeding the requirements of theFederal Governments Policy on Nigerian Content.
Labour
Nordimpianti Nigeria Limited (NNL) promotes the improvement of its Nigerianworkforce by encouraging training, both locally through in-house training programsand also by sponsoring personnel to the facilities ofourAffiliates andSubcontractors premises overseas for in-depth technical training. This means that the workforce has an ongoing development and improvement,
which will remain with them in Nigeria for use on future projects. These personnel, mainly Technicians and Engineers will in turn pass on knowledge to other companyemployees working alongside them at our various projects and facilities.
Due to the training programs adopted by the company for Nigerian personnel, thenumber of expatriate personnel is constantly reducing as our Nigerian personnelbecome ably equipped to take over some of the expatriates duties andresponsibilities on our Projects. This is in line with the Federal Governments Policyon Nigerian Content for which we have a target of 95% Nigerians against 5%expatriate. Depending on project requirements, Nordimpianti Nigeria Limited (NNL)also encourages and sponsors Client personnel to attend training programs held at
our Affiliate and Subcontractors premises.
Recruitment
In accordance with the Nigerian Government policy and directives on laborresourcing, Nordimpianti Nigeria Limited (NNL) will endeavor to, wherever possible, recruit Nigerian personnel resident in, or belonging to, the same area or nearestvillage to where the work or services are carried out. In summary, the companys aimis to use Nigerian workers to fulfill positions wherever possible, improving theirabilities through ongoing training and only to use expatriates where they areneeded to provide specific technical expertise to carry out the work safety, efficiently and in a cost efficient manner. NNL encourages producing its own items
by obtaining the basic raw materials in Nigeria, but will also consider procuringsome from the global market in cases of trying to satisfy clients demand.
Sub-contractors and Institution
As with directly employed labour and material/equipment purchases, NNL utilizesthe opportunity of being on ground to make request and procure materials andequipments needed to satisfy clients demand. All sub-contracting functions areconsidered before letting out to avoid compromise in standards.
