• We respond to more than 110,000 calls each year.

• In 2016, we responded to 5,923emergencies in Lorne Park.
• 2194 calls were from residents 61+ years.• The top-3 call types were:
– general illness– muscular/skeletal trauma– respiratory distress

Our Facilities Plan
• Our plan is to develop infrastructure to meet the growing emergency healthcare needs of Peel residents.
• Our plan is based on police services model.
• We want to be closer to the people we serve.

• 2 types of stations: reporting and satellite• Satellite stations are
– approximately 2,800 sq. feet– located closer to people and emergencies
• Paramedics at satellite stations respond to emergencies in the local community.

Site History• Property has been owned by the Region of
Peel since 1998• In 2014, identified as a good location for a
Paramedic Satellite Station• Since 1997, property has been leased to
the City for parkland• Parcel for Satellite Station is within
development zone of property
