He is a mind which contains a whole world of imagina-tion and creativity, where
everything is possible.
His inspiration for each drawing reflects a bit of his
interior, of what he lives and surrounds him, reality
and fiction, and of everyday stories drawn mainly on
paper and walls. He is always trying to be more
professional without losing his cheerful style present in
his drawings.
Everything started when he was still living in his world of fantasy in the center of Brazil. Since he was a child he learned and created taking advantage of the cabinetmaker’s workshop next to his house, as well as of other artists he met thanks to his father. At the age of ten he made his first drawing, which represented an actor from one of his favourite TV shows of that time.
In 2004 he met two influential graffiti writers who introduced him the graffiti and typography used in the Brazilian street art, called ”pichaçao”. Two years later he decided to go further and use the graffiti not just as a leisure activity but as a way of catching the attention and of showing other artists new bases and materials. It is then when he started to devote all his time to drawing studying different drawing techiniques. In the same year he started studying several courses of the interior design degree.
In 2009, after several years decorating locals, painting walls and participating in various collective events in Brazil, he moves to Madrid, Spain. There, he makes a step forward in his career, and starts studying Ceramic decoration.
His love and passion for the public exhibit of his art, both painted and stick, are just a way of showing and sharing with everyone a little bit of what he has inside himself, basically making the viewer’s enjoy his art.
Portraying ordinary life and everything that surrounds him, is the basic idea that he applies to each and every one of his pieces. The tool to transmit to the spectator whatever it’s portrayed or to inspire them by the dreamlike world that surrounds each piece created by the artist.
Pedro Sega started to work as a freelance illustrator and muralist in 2006. He works primarily with ink, pencil, mixed media and
digital media.
Currently he lives and works in Madrid, Spain.

WALLPAPERS | «You may have seen some of his pieces
just by walking around the Malasaña Distrisc, where
he lives, for example on Valverde or Barco streets. Or even eating within the neighborhood, at Pizza al
Cuadrado in Ballesta Street.
He began doing street art on 2006, by painting murals
and thrown up, and although he makes his living out of
drawing illustrations (for brands and events) and
interior decoration, his aim is focused on art...
… I haven´t had any problems on the street. I
don´t use sprays (although I did use them back in Brazil)
and that is why when the police comes and sees I
am only working with paper and glue, they walk away.
Sometimes, they even come back to see the final outcome.
It´s funny how if you capture something beautiful in the
street walls, they don´t call you a tagger.”»
Pilar Sanz, Revista Calle 20
MOVING DECORATION | Sega expresses his art not only on conventional basis. In this promotional action by Mercedes, he decorated a model Class A . They used it to record a video where the car was driven around Madrid stopping by all the spots where the artist had placed his urban artwork.
