To undertake a market opportunity assessment and concept evaluation for a new technology and assay strategy for in vitro permeability screening.
The assay concept was tested using primary research with drug discovery scientists within Pharma and biotech companies as well as with discovery service providers. Results were interpreted to provide insights on the likely pattern of technology adoption, buyer service expectations as well as pointers for market strategy formulation and market positioning. The service was implemented based on this successful concept evaluation.
A Leading Nanotechnology Investment Fund
To identify investment leads in nanotechnology companies and to support and facilitate the investment communications with investment prospects.
A Specialty Technology Company
To obtain an independent and objective evaluation of the commercial potential of its novel piezoelectric technology.
A systematic search and screening system was developed by Parioforma based on the Fund’s investment criteria and implemented globally to find investment leads which were ready to work with a Russian fund. A short list of high quality leads were provided to the fund which has entered into serious discussions with several companies.

Leading US-Based Bioinformatics
Company
To evaluate customer activities in metabolomics and understand the emerging market needs for metabolomics data analysis technology and tools – particularly in MS-based applications.
The team undertook extensive primary research with end users to identify: core markets, user profiles and high-level software needs. An assessment of the level of integration of metabolomics into the company’s functional/ organisational structure was carried out and adoption patterns by customer segment identified. Results were leveraged for future product development.
A Leading Mining Company
To evaluate the commercial opportunity for a novel by-product of the metal extraction process – an archaeal lipid.
The first phase of work involved helping the client to characterise the lipid’s functionality to define potential industrial applications. The second phase involved identifying market opportunities and prioritising them in terms of time to market, cost to market, market value and potential demand. Phase three involved the identification of development partners and assisting the client in negotiations. The result is that the lipid product is now in the late stages of commercialisation.
A New Venture 3G Company
To develop new services in order to enter the e-clinical development market utilising UMTS/3G mobile wireless technology.
A detailed survey of clinical trial patient behaviour was conducted. The results were interpreted and utilized by Parioforma to lead a client-based team to develop product specifications and to prepare a business plan to utilise 3G devices for video and rich graphic patient diaries, e-trials, and e-CRA management.
