Prayers For The Deceased Cynthia Corrado, Paul Baro, Angelina Alden, Claire Severa
From Senior Deacon Mike:
The Gospel for the Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time is an elaboration from the Sermon on the Mount detailed in Chapter 5 of Matthew's Gospel.
Note: the 1st reading from chapter 19 of the Book of Leviticus anticipates Jesus and the theme in the sermon. "...Take no revenge and cherish no grudge against any of your people. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.”

Catholic Relief Services ~ RICE BOWL During Lent, our parish community will participate in CRS Rice Bowl, a faith-in-action Lenten program. The Rice Bowl includes a calendar and a Family Guide to Lent, which offers opportunities for your family to engage daily with the spiritual pillars of Lenten: prayer, fasting and almsgiving. And it offers our parish an opportunity to reflect on what it means to live our
Gospel, call to seek those in distress and help those in need.
During the next 40 days, through the Family Guide and in our bulletin, we will encounter the stories of people in Kenya, Vietnam, and Honduras where CRS is at work. We’ll be invited to prepare simple, meatless meals from these countries. And, through the stories, we’ll learn about the
principles of Catholic social teaching and ways we can put them into action during Lent and beyond. Please take a Rice Bowl this weekend as part of your Lenten journey.
