About us
Established on March 9th, 2005, the team has been named the 2005 SIFE Rookie of the Year, 2005 and
2006 SIFE Regional Second Runner Up, 2006 Entrepreneurship Program Finalist, the 2006 USF Best
New Student Organization, 2007 Regional Champion, and 2007 National Competition 2nd Runner Up in
the Opening Round.
The 2007-2008 USF SIFE Team consists of 10 active members with only 3 returning from last year.
Majors range from Biomedical Science, Pharmacy, International Studies, Engineering, Accounting, and
Finance. Team Members do not receive academic credit for their efforts.

6 Other Projects Seeds of Success SIFE USF provided and implemented a lesson plan for a local 5th and 6th grade gardening class
to market and sell the fruits of their labor to local neighborhoods. We taught them the concepts of
supply and demand, creating a marketing plan, and the concepts of profit and loss.
Result: Business and Marketing plan in place; Harvest will begin in August of 2008.
Anti Piracy PSA The USF SIFE Team wrote, produced, and shot a 1 minute Anti-
Piracy Public Service Announcement that was submitted to the
SIFE-MPAA competition. Commercial was based around the
popular video game “Rockband” and “Guitar Hero” to target
the age groups that are most prevalent in pirating music.
Result: Over 500 views of Anti Piracy Video on You Tube as
well as impressions during our Ethics Awareness Week
Duel in the Swamp
The SIFE at USF Team competed in the Duel in The Swamp Personal Financial Case Study Com-
petition where 6 teams from the southeast region compete to solve a case study in a grueling 48
hour period of research and presentation.
Result: Second Place Finish, Top School in Florida; $1,500 Prize Money

An interactive presentation on how Oranges
go from the tree to different distribution
channels and how they are transformed into
many different products such as juice, clean-

An interactive workshop specifically de-
signed for graduating seniors that addresses
the transition skills needed between college
life and the real world. Topics included ty-
ing financial loose ends on campus, how to
