Opening App

1. Click on or tap the Start button click on or tap All apps.
2. Scroll down and locate the Harrison Sports Apps folder.
3. Click on or tap the folder.
4. Click on or tap the HSA T20 app icon.
Windows 8 and 8.1
1. From the Start screen locate app icon and click on or tap the HSA T20 app icon.
Windows 7
1. Click on the Start button select All Programs.
2. From All Programs click on the Harrison Sports Apps folder.
3. Select HSA T20.
Entering Teams
Team names and colours are set via the Enter Teams Tab.
The Enter Teams Tab contains the following controls for team entry.
1. Batting first Enter team name text box.
2. Batting first Set back colour tab control.
3. Batting first Back colour display area.
4. Batting first Fore colour display area.
5. Batting first Set fore colour tab control.
6. Batting first Preview area.
7. Batting first Update button.
8. Batting first Last Team button.
9. Batting first Reset button.
10. Batting second Enter team name text box.
11. Batting second Set back colour tab control.
12. Batting second Back colour display area.
13. Batting second Fore colour display area.
14. Batting second Set fore colour tab control.

Entering Teams
Entering new teams
For example the first match of a head to head series between two countries or a match that is part of a multiple team tournament such as a world cup or domestic competition.
For this example Team One and Team Two will be used as opposed to team or country names.
Step 1. Enter Team One’s name
1. Click on or tap the Enter team name text box within the Batting first group box.
2. Enter team name (maximum 20 characters).
Step 2. Set Team One’s back colour
1. Locate Set back colour tab control. Tab pages are numbered 1 to 6. Each tab page displays 36 different colours giving a total of 216 colours.
2. Click on or tap each of the tab pages numbered 1 to 6 to display all 216 colours.
3. Choose Team One’s back colour by clicking on or taping the radio button that best matches Team One’s back colour.
4. When a radio button is clicked on or taped a larger area next to the Set back colour tab control is displayed in the chosen colour to signify that a colour has been selected.
5. For this example the back colour will be set to Red from tab page 1 refer to.
Step 3. Set Team One’s fore colour
1. Locate Set fore colour tab control. Tab pages are numbered 1 to 6. Each tab page displays 36 different colours giving a total of 216 colours.
2. Click on or tap each of the tab pages numbered 1 to 6 to display all 216 colours.
3. Choose Team One’s fore colour by clicking on or taping the radio button that best matches Team One’s fore colour.
4. When a radio button is clicked on or taped a larger area next to the Set fore colour tab control is displayed in the chosen colour to signify that a colour has been selected.
5. For this example the fore colour will be set to Dark Green from tab page 6.

Step 4. Update Team One and preview
1. To complete entering Team One’s name and setting the back and fore colours click on or tap the Update button.
2. This will display Team One’s name and the back and fore colours in a preview area to enable the contrast of the colours to be checked. If the back and fore colours are to similar set one darker and the other lighter.
3. When the Update button is clicked on or taped the App writes a small text file that is stored on the hard drive of the device on which the App is installed on. This is to save time if Team One’s data is to be re-entered at a later date by clicking on or taping the Last Team button.
Step 5. Reset Batting first group box
1. If while entering the data for Team One a mistake has been made or new data is required to be entered.
2. Simply click on or tap the Reset button within the Batting first group box message box 3 will appear.
3. The App will be disabled while message box 3 appears so no other data can be entered or another button clicked on or tapped.
4. Click on or tap the OK button to reset Team One’s entries and enable the App.
Step 6. Enter Team Two’s name and set back and fore colours
1. To enter Team Two’s name and set back and fore colours repeat the above Steps 1 to 4 in the Batting second group box.
2. For this example the back colour will be set to Yellow from tab page 1.
3. For this example the fore colour will be set to Blue from tab page 6.
This completes the entering Team Two process.
Once both teams’ data is entered a keyboard is no longer required. The App only requires a mouse or to be tapped on.
Proceed to the Score entry section of this users guide page 12.

Step 7. Reset Batting second group box
1. If while entering the data for Team Two a mistake has been made or new data is required to be entered.

Entering existing teams
For example the second match of a head to head series between two countries.
Re-enter Team One’s data
1. Last team must be used before any team data is entered into the App or all team data will be overwritten and the last team data will be lost.
2. Click on or tap the Last Team button within the Batting first group box to enter the Last Team’s data.
3. The Update button will automatically be clicked on and the data updated.
Re-enter Team Two’s data
1. Last team must be used before any team data is entered into the App or all team data will be overwritten and the last team data will be lost.
2. Click on or tap the Last Team button within the Batting second group box to enter the Last Team’s data.
3. The Update button will automatically be clicked on and the data updated.
If after the toss of the next match in a head to head series the batting order is the same as the previous match then proceed to the Score Entry section of this users guide page 12.
Once both teams’ data is entered a keyboard is no longer required. The App only requires a mouse or to be tapped on.
If after the toss the batting order is the reverse of the previous match then proceed to the Swap Teams section of this users guide page 11.

1. Click on or tap the Swap Teams button.
Once both teams’ data is entered a keyboard is no longer required. The App only requires a mouse or to be tapped on.
Proceed to the Score Entry section of this users guide page 12.
Reset App
1. Click on or tap the Reset App button message box 7 will appear.
2. The App will be disabled while message box 7 appears so no other data can be entered or another button clicked on or tapped.
3. Click on or tap the OK button to reset the App and enable the App.
Exit App
1. Click on or tap the Exit App button message box 8 will appear.
2. The App will be disabled while message box 8 appears so no other data can be entered or another button clicked on or tapped.
3. Click on or tap the OK button to exit the App.
Score EntryUsing a mouse
Scores are entered into the App via combo boxes with pre-set values for ease of use.
1. Click on the Scores Tab.
2. Click on the required combo box and scroll the mouse wheel down and stop at the required value.
Using a touch screen
Scores are entered into the App via combo boxes with pre-set values for ease of use.
1. Tap the Scores Tab.
2. Tap on the drop down arrow at the left side of the required combo box to expand the pre-set values and select the required.
Team One
The First innings
In this section of the user’s guide there is no reference to T20 matches where the target is revised and the allotted overs have been reduced. This section of the user’s guide is based on the full allotment of 20 overs. Revised target and overs has its own section. If there is a time delay before or during the First innings refer to the Revised target and overs section of this user’s guide page 52.
For ease of use it is recommended that Team One’s score only be entered and calculated at the end of every over in the Scores Tab and the First Tab and every five overs in the Comparison Tab. Scores are entered via combo boxes with pre-set values.
Note: Team Two’s Second innings score entry combo boxes will not be visible until Team One’s First innings is completed.

The Scores Tab contains the following controls for First innings score entry.
1. First innings Runs combo box.
2. First innings Wickets combo box.
3. First innings Overs combo box.
4. First innings Balls combo box.

The Scores Tab Team One’s First innings combo boxes have the following pre-set values.
Runs:Pre-set values 0 to 400
Wickets:Pre-set values 0 to 10
Overs: Pre-set values 0 to 20
Balls:Pre-set values 0 to 6
Recommendation: The Balls combo box is only required to be used if a team is bowled out before their allotted overs.

The score entries in this user’s guide are examples only and are to be replaced with the actual match scores when using the App. For this example runs will be set to 7, wickets will be set to 1, overs will be set to 1 and balls will remain at 0.
1. At the end of over 1 click on or tap the Runs combo box and enter the current runs.
2. If no wicket has fallen go to step 3. If a wicket has fallen then click on or tap the Wickets combo box and enter the current wickets.
3. Click on or tap the Overs combo box and enter the current overs. If the first over is a maiden over i.e. no runs were scored, the Overs combo box must be set to 1 and calculated otherwise the First tab and the Comparison tab will not be visible.
4. Click on or tap the First innings Calculate button. This action will calculate and display the following information refer to Table 1.

5. Click on or tap the First Calculate button. This action will calculate and display the following information refer to Table 2.

First Tab First innings Auto Calculation
Recommendation: Use the Auto Calculation function.
1. Click on or Tap the First Tab.
2. Turn on Auto Calculate by clicking on or taping the Auto Calculate check box.
3. Once the Auto Calculation function is set to on this will automatically update the overs combo box, calculate and display the current score.
4. For example when entering the runs for over 2, simply click or tap on over 2 runs combo box scroll down until the scored displayed is 16 – 1.
5. When 16 – 1 is displayed the correct amount of runs in over 2 combo box will be entered which is 9.
6. The same functionality applies to all combo boxes in the First Tab.
7. For example when entering the wickets for over 2, simply click or tap on over 2 wickets combo box scroll down until the scored displayed is 16 – 2.
8. When 16 – 2 is displayed the correct amount of wickets in over 2 combo box will be entered which is 1.
9. Continue to enter and calculate the scores at the end of every over until all the allotted overs are completed or Team One is bowled out.

Continue to enter the score at the end of each over as follows up until over 5.
1. Click on or Tap the Scores Tab.
2. At the end of each over click on or tap the Runs combo box and enter the current runs.
3. If no wicket has fallen go to step 4. If a wicket has fallen then click on or tap the Wickets combo box and enter the current wickets.
4. Click on or tap the Overs combo box and enter the current overs. If an over is a maiden over i.e. no runs were scored, the Overs combo box must be set to the current overs and calculated otherwise the incorrect information will be displayed.
5. For this example runs will be set to 42, wickets will be set to 2, overs will be set to 5 and balls will remain at 0.
6. Click on or tap the First innings Calculate button. This action will calculate and display the following information refer to Table 3.

Comparison Tab First innings five overs
Recommendation: The Comparison Tab only requires to the have the score entered every five overs.
The Comparison Tab First Innings contains 4 group boxes with 3 combo boxes 1 for Runs abbreviated to R, 1 for Wickets abbreviated to W and 1 for Overs abbreviated to O.
Enter the score at the end of over 5 within the Five overs group box as follows.
For this example runs will be set to 42, wickets will be set to 2, overs will be set to 5.
1. Click on or Tap the Comparison Tab.
2. At the end of over 5 click on or tap the Runs combo box and enter the current runs.
3. If no wicket has fallen go to step 4. If a wicket has fallen then click on or tap the Wickets combo box and enter the current wickets.
4. Click on or tap the Overs combo box and scroll down to 5.
5. Click on or tap the Comparison Calculate button. This action will calculate and display the following information at the end of over 5 refer to Table.

As well as the above information being displayed. The values contained in the Five overs group box’s combo boxes are automatically transferred to the combo boxes of the Ten overs group box. This is to save time for when the Ten overs group box’s score is entered at the end of over 10. No information in the Ten overs group box will be calculate or displayed at this time. No further action is required until the end of over 10.
Continue to enter and calculate the scores every 5 overs until all the allotted overs are completed or Team One is bowled out.
Team One
First innings graphs five overs
Harrison Sports Apps T20 App displays 4 graphs which are calculated and displayed automatically when their respective tabs are clicked on or taped. They are as follows
1. The Manhattan graph (as it resembles the Manhattan sky line) is a column graph which displays the amount of runs for each individual over in a vertical column. If a wicket being taken has been entered into the combo box for that over a dot will appear within the column.
2. The Innings graph is a linear graph which displays the current score in runs over by over. If a wicket being taken has been entered into the combo box for that over a dot will appear on the line of the linear graph.
3. The Run Rate graph is a linear graph which displays the average run rate over by over. If a wicket being taken has been entered into the combo box for that over a dot will appear on the line of the linear graph.
4. The Bar graph is a horizontal bar graph which displays the amount of runs for each 5 over increment they are as follows refer to Table 6 below.

5. Click on or tap the Manhattan, Innings, Run Rate and Graph tabs after score entry and calculation as desired.

4. If no wicket has been taken go to step 5. If a wicket has been taken then click on or tap the Wickets combo box and watching the current score display scroll down until the current score is displayed.
5. If an over is a maiden over i.e. no runs were scored and also no wickets have been taken, the Overs combo box must be set to the current overs and calculated by clicking on or taping the First Calculate button.
6. The following information will be displayed refer to Table.

7. With the First innings overs set to 20 this will end the First innings. The Second Tab with Team Two’s Second innings combo boxes will now be visible.
8. Click on or tap the Run Rate Tab with the First innings ended a straight white line will be displayed. This is the required Run Rate line that Team Two must maintain to win the match.

3. If no wicket has fallen go to step 4. If a wicket has fallen then click on or tap the Wickets combo box and enter the current wickets.
4. Click on or tap the Overs combo box and scroll down to 20.
5. Click on or tap the Comparison Calculate button. This action will calculate and display the following information at the end of over 20 refer to Table 8.

In this section of the user’s guide there is no reference to T20 matches where the target is revised and the allotted overs have been reduced. This section of the user’s guide is based on the full allotment of 20 overs. Revised target and overs has its own section.
For ease of use it is recommended that Team Two’s score only be entered and calculated at the end of every over in the Scores Tab and the Second Tab and every five overs in the Comparison Tab. Scores are entered via combo boxes with pre-set values. Team Two’s Second innings combo boxes have the same pre-set values as Team One’s First innings combo boxes.
With the Team One’s First innings ended Team Two’s Second innings combo boxes will now be visible. Team Two’s Second innings run chase information will also be displayed as follows refer to Table 11.

1. A time delay before the game starts with no further delays once the game has started.
2. A time delay after the First innings has started with no further delays once the game has recommenced.
3. A time delay after at least five overs are completed and the time delay is significant in duration so the First innings is declared closed.

Second innings delays
Scores Tab Event 2
A time delay after the Second innings has started with no further delays once the Second innings has recommenced.
Note: Do not readjust Allotted overs within the Game settings group box.
For this example a time delay sufficient to cause the loss of 5 overs for the Second innings will be used.
When the game recommences after the time delay the commentary team for the broadcaster will inform viewers of the Revised target and overs.
For this example Revised target will be set at 131 runs and overs will be set at 15 to readjust the App do the following.
1. Click on or tap the Target combo box and scroll down to 131.
2. Click on or tap the Overs combo box and scroll down to 15.
3. Click on or tap the Calculate button to reset the App.
Second Tab Event 2
With no further time delays the Second Tab requires no adjustment.
Comparison Tab Event 2
With no further time delays the Comparison Tab requires no adjustment.

Scores Tab Event 3
A time delay after at least five overs are completed and the time delay is significant in duration so the Second innings is declared closed.
Note: Do not readjust Allotted overs within the Game settings group box.
When the Second Innings is declared closed the commentary team for the broadcaster will inform viewers of the Revised target and overs.
For this example Revised target will be set at 69 runs and overs will be set at 8 to readjust the App do the following.
1. Click on or tap the Target combo box and scroll down to 69.
2. Click on or tap the Overs combo box and scroll down to 8.
3. Click on or tap the Second innings closed combo box and scroll down to display Closed
4. Click on or tap the Calculate button to reset the App.
5. With the Second innings declared closed the Second innings Overs combo box will automatically bet set to the same amount of overs as the Revised overs combo box.
Second Tab Event 3
1. With the Second innings declared closed the Second Tab overs combo box will automatically bet set to the same amount of overs as the Revised overs combo box.
2. Update the 8th over Runs and Wickets combo boxes if not already done.
3. No score entries will be permitted from overs 9 to 20 they will be automatically cleared when the calculate button is clicked on or tapped.
Comparison Tab Event 3
With the Second innings declared closed the Comparison Tab Ten overs group box overs combo box will not be allowed to be greater than the amount of overs as the Revised overs combo box when the calculate button is clicked on or tapped.

Revised target and overs First innings
T20 games can have their allotted overs reduced as a result of time delays, for example interrupted by rain, power fail to lights etc. A minimum of five overs per team constitutes a game.
This user’s guide covers three events that can result in overs being reduced in the First innings of a T20 game. One, two or all three of these events may occur in the First innings they are as follows.
1. A time delay before the game starts with no further delays once the game has started.
2. A time delay after the First innings has started with no further delays once the game has recommenced.
3. A time delay after at least five overs are completed and the time delay is significant in duration so the First innings is declared closed.
