    EachParthastwoLayers(AandB),andeachLayerhasasetofsynthesiscontrols.

    EachLayerhasitsownpolyphonicPrimaryOscillator,whichcanbesettoeitherSampleMode(usingSoundsources)orSynthMode(usingDSPWaveforms).BecauseeachLayerhasitsownindependentPrimaryOscillator,youcanmixandmatchthemodesbyusingtwoLayers.

    Omnisphere'sCoreLibrarySoundsourcesvarydramaticallyinsizefromafewkilobytestooveragigabyte.EachSoundsourcewascarefullypreparedandoptimizedbytheSpectrasonicsSoundDevelopmentteam.

    LargerandmorecomplexSoundsourcestakealongertoload,butstillloadrelativelyquickly,sincetheSTEAMEngineincludesstreamingtechnologytoallowforplaybackofverylargemultisamples.Streamingallowsforthesamplestobufferoffofthecomputer'sharddriveinrealtime,insteadofallofthesampleshavingtobeloadedintothecomputer'sRAM.Inaddition,Omnisphere'ssophisticatedProgressiveLoadingallowssoundswiththousandsofsamplestobeplayedandauditionedwhiletheyarestillbeingloaded.

    SoundsourcesinOmnispherearesimilartousing"programs"inasampler,buttherearesomekeydifferences:

    Thisfeaturehandlesthefilemanagementforyou,withoutleavingOmnisphere.

    Onceyouhavereceivedtheshared.omnispherefile,select"AddSounds"intheUtilityMenuandfollowtheinstructions.

    OmnisphereallowsyoutoimportyourownaudiotouseasSoundsourcesandtocreateyourownPatchesandMultis.YoucanprocessandmanipulateyourownaudioincreativewaysusingOmnisphere'spowerfulsynthesiscapabilities.EachimportedaudiofilewillbecomeaUserSoundsourceinOmnisphere.
