The Pantherettes Halftime Dance Team is…
…a non-competitive, spirit-based dance team that performs for the pre-game and Halftime at our OHS home football games.
The styles of dance we perform include pom, jazz, kick and hip hop.
Our season concludes with our final home football game in October.
Halftime Vs. Competitive Dance Team:
Halftime Teams (football season)– JV & Varsity (max. 20 dancers on each team)– Tryouts in May – Teams perform at all home football games– Designated as an “activity” at OHS
Competitive Team (basketball season)– Tryouts in October– Teams compete in IHSA and perform at all home basketball games (JV: IHSA invites
only; Varsity: works to qualify for State)– Designated as a “sport” at OHS
Dancers may audition for EITHER season or BOTH
Do I need dance experience?
