Dynamic Positioning Systems
DNV is developing new DP- notations customised for markets where the
DYNPOS- standard is considered beyond the actual needs
The new DP- notations will also be based on the principles in IMOMSC/Circ. 645 Guidelines for vessels with dynamic positioning systems
The existing DYNPOS- notations are unchanged
The DYNPOS- notations have additional requirements as compared to the
DP- notations
Class entries to the DYNPOS- series:
- Documentation review, performance testing and FMEA failure testing
Class entries to the DP- series:
- Based on a corresponding, valid and maintained DP class notation, from thelosing society
