8TH STREETIMPROVEMENTSPROJECT:
The 8th Street Improvements Project corridor runs along South 8thStreet, from I-49 west to SW “I” Street. From the Interstate to MoberlyLane, the project involves constructing a new interchange with I-49 andnew location road construction of five lanes with curb and gutter.Between Moberly Lane and SW "I" Street , 8th Street will become a fourlane arterial with a raised median, curb and gutter. Breaks in themedian will be at key locations such as major street crossings. Theentire project will have six foot sidewalks on the north side and a tenfoot trail on the south side.
