Correlate•Reinforce Assumptions
•High Call volume or dis-sat scores = Employer Churn
•High Claims types = Employers churn
•Employers with bad claims experience may churn
ID Predictors•What are the prime predictors of Employer Churn
Score •Highest likelihood to churn Employers
•Rank the current enrolled to see where there are likely candidates who are up for renewal
Outcome•What are the interventions, process, outreach that will alter churn outcomes
•Baseline and A/B testing with intervention over no change to process
Monitor•Monitor the interventions
•Monitor the outcomes
•Monitor in light of changes to volume or other macro experience
•Tune the model as environmental changes occur

PAL Solution Overview
Hospitals face increasing costs/penalties due to patient readmission
Wanted the ability to understand cause for Readmission and effectively distribute information
Was using Cognos BI for their historical reporting, but wasn’t able to determine ‘true’ indicators for patient readmissions
Using SPSS, built a model that predicts likelihood of patient readmission within 30 days of being released.
Determine what are the key drivers to patient readmission
Effectively score individual patients and classify each as ‘Low’, ‘Medium’, and ‘high’ risk.
Implemented BI dashboard and report to distribute information
