Race Spectators
The Napa Valley Marathon boasts one of the most beautiful courses in the United States. The endless vineyards, early morning mist, and surrounding mountains are enough to bring tears to one’s eyes. Unfortunately, sometimes those spectator tears are caused by frustration…the frustration of limited and restricted parking along our rural course.
The CHP and local law enforcement have asked that all spectators park legally, do not block driveways or traffic lanes, and do not park on private property without the property owner’s permission. Almost all of the crossroads that intersect the racecourse have deep ditches along the side of the road which makes legal parking difficult. Law Enforcement officials have been assigned to ensure the safety of all runners and drivers.
