1. Titanic Quarter, Belfast

Titanic Quarter is in Belfast, our capital city. This is the place were the Titanic ship was built at a famous shipyard called Harland and Wolff. It is a brand new building and will be opening for the 100th anniversary in April this year.

2. Odyssey

Odyssey Arena is outside Belfast. It is famous for concerts. Last year, MTV EMS awards were held here. Guests included Justin Beiber and Lady Gaga! There is also an ice ring for our ice hockey team, the Belfast Giants.

3. Giants Causeway

Situated on the North coast of Ireland, the Giant’s Causeway is an area of approximately 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, the result of an ancient volcanic eruption; however the legend is more convincing for those who prefer a more colourful story. Some people believe it was created by giants!

4. Carrick a Rede Rope Bridge

Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge is a rope suspension bridge in Northern Ireland. It links the mainland to a tiny island called Carrick Island. It is a little scary as it is 30m above the sea.

5. Carrickfergus Castle

Carrickfergus Castle is a norman castle built in 1177. We go to the castle to learn about life during this time.
