BRAC
What is BRAC?:
•"BRAC" is an acronym for Base Realignment and Closure. It is the congressionally mandated process used by the Department of Defense tocongressionally mandated process used by the Department of Defense to reorganize its base structure to more efficiently support our forces, and increase operational readiness.

BRAC (PERSONNEL FACTS)
Becoming “Locked-In” to Group:

SUMMARY•The move of 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) to Florida was mandated by Congress and signed into Law by the President of the United States. We will move to Eglin NLT 15 SEP 2011.
•The 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) leadership recognizes the significant impact this move will have on Soldiers and their Families.
•7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) is going to make every attempt to minimize any negative impacts to the 7th Group Family.
•The area of North‐West Florida holds a great deal of opportunity and will welcome the Group and its members as its newest residents.
•The 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) facilities will be “State of the Art” and the best the Special Operations Community has to offer; thereby ensuring the readiness, effectiveness, and survivability of 7th Special Forces
