Your enviro pellet stove has been designed to burn wood pellets only. Do not use any other type of fuel, as this will void any warranties stated in this manual.
The performance of your pellet stove is greatly affected by the type and quality of wood pellets being burned. As the heat output of various quality wood pellets differs, so will the performance and heat output of the pellet stove.CAUTION:Itisimportanttoselectanduseonlypelletsthataredryandfreeofdirtoranyimpuritiessuch as high salt content.Dirty fuelwill adversely affect the operation andperformanceof theunitandwillvoidthewarranty.ThePelletFuelIndustries(P.F.I.)hasestablishedstandardsforwoodpelletmanufacturers.Werecommendtheuseofpelletsthatmeetorexceedthesestandards.Askyourdealerforarecommendedpellettype.

ASH:Theashcontentofthefuelandoperationofyourstovewilldirectlydeterminethefrequencyofcleaning.Theuseofhighashfuelsmayresultinthestoveneedingtobecleaneddaily.Alowashfuelmayallowlongerintervalsbetweencleaning.
CLINKERING:[clinkersaresilica(sand)orotherimpuritiesinthefuelthatwillformahardmassduringtheburningprocess].ThishardmasswillblocktheairflowthroughtheBurnPotLinerandaffecttheperformanceofthestove.Anyfuel,evenapprovedtypes,maytendtoclinker.ChecktheBurn-PotLinerdailytoensurethattheholesarenotblockedwithclinkers.Iftheybecomeblocked,removetheliner(whentheunitiscold)andclean/scrapetheclinkersout.Cleantheholeswithasmallpointedobjectifrequired.RefertothesectionRoutineCleaningandMaintenance.
PELLET FEED RATES:Duetodifferentfueldensitiesandsizes,pelletfeedratesmayvary.Thismayrequireanadjustmenttothesliderdampersettingortotheaugerfeedtrimsettingonlow.
SinceSherwoodIndustriesLtd.hasnocontroloverthequalityofpelletsthatyouuse,weassumenoliabilityforyourchoiceinwoodpellets.
Store pellets at least 36” (1 m) away from the pellet stove.

Toprevent thepossibilityofa fire,ensure that theappliance isproperly installedbyadheringto theinstallation instructions. An ENVIROdealerwill be happy to assist you in obtaining informationwithregardstoyourlocalbuildingcodesandinstallationrestrictions.
Besuretomaintainthestructuralintegrityofthehomewhenpassingaventthroughwalls,ceilings,orroofs.
Thestove’sexhaustsystemworkswithnegativecombustionchamberpressureandaslightlypositivechimneypressure.Itisveryimportanttoensurethattheexhaustsystembesealedandairtight.Theashpanandviewingdoormustbelockedsecurelyforproperandsafeoperationofthepelletstove.
Do not burn with insufficient combustion air. A periodic check is recommended to ensure propercombustionairisadmittedtothecombustionchamber.Settingthepropercombustionairisachievedbyadjustingthesliderdamperlocatedontheleftsideofthestove.
Wheninstallingthestoveinamobilehome,itmustbeelectricallygroundedtothesteelchassisofthehomeandboltedtothefloor.Makesurethatthestructuralintegrityofthehomeismaintainedandallconstructionmeetslocalbuildingcodes.
Minorsootorcreosotemayaccumulatewhenthestoveisoperatedunderincorrectconditionssuchasanextremelyrichburn(blacktipped,lazyorangeflames).
Ifyouhaveanyquestionswithregardtoyourstoveortheabove-mentionedinformation,pleasefeelfreetocontactyourlocaldealerforfurtherclarificationandcomments.
Safety WaRningS anD RecommenDationS:
Caution: Do not connect to any air distribution duct or system.Do not burn garbage or flammable fluids such as gasoline, naptha or engine oil.Unit hot while in operation. Keep children, clothing and furniture away. Contact may cause skin burns.
FUEL: Thispelletstove isdesignedandapprovedtoonlyburnwoodpellet fuelwithupto3%ashcontent. Dirtyfuelwilladverselyaffecttheoperationandperformanceoftheunitandmayvoidthewarranty.Checkwithyourdealerforfuelrecommendations. THE USE OF CORDWOOD IS PROHIBITED BY LAW.
SOOT:Operationofthestovewithinsufficientcombustionairwillresultintheformationofsootwhichwillcollectontheglass,theheatexchanger,theexhaustventsystem,andmaystaintheoutsideofthehouse.Thisisadangeroussituationandisinefficient.Frequentlycheckyourstoveandadjusttheslider/damperasneededtoensurepropercombustion.See: “SLiDeR/DamPeR Setting”.
CLEANING:Therewillbesomebuildupofflyashandsmallamountsofcreosoteintheexhaust.Thiswillvaryduetotheashcontentofthefuelusedandtheoperationofthestove.Itisadvisabletoinspectandcleantheexhaustventsemi-annuallyoreverytwotonsofpellets.
ASHES:Disposedashesshouldbeplacedinametalcontainerwithatightfittinglid.Theclosedcontainer

ofashesshouldbeonanon-combustiblefloorontheground,wellawayfromallcombustiblematerialspendingfinaldisposal.Iftheashesaredisposedofbyburialinsoilorotherwiselocallydispensed,theyshouldberetainedintheclosedcontaineruntilallcindershavebeenthoroughlycooled.
ELECTRICAL: The use of a surge protected power bar is recommended. The unit must begrounded. The grounded electrical cord should be connected to a standard 110-120 volts, nominalaverage2.0Amps(4.1Ampspeak),60hertzelectricaloutletandalsomustbeaccessible.Ensurethepolaritytotheoutlet,theunitwillbepluggedinto,iscorrectasincorrectpolaritycanaffecttheunit’soperation.Ifthispowercordshouldbecomedamaged,areplacementpowercordmustbepurchasedfromthemanufactureroraqualifiedENVIROdealer.Becarefulthattheelectricalcordisnottrappedundertheapplianceandthatitisclearofanyhotsurfacesorsharpedges.Thisunit’smaximumpowerrequirementis184watts(600wattspeak).
GLASS:Donotabusetheglassbystrikingorslammingthedoor.Donotattempttooperatethestovewithbrokenglass.Thestoveusesceramicglass.ReplacementglassmustbepurchasedfromanENVIROdealer.Donotattempttoopenthedoorandcleantheglasswhiletheunitisinoperationorifglassishot.Tocleantheglass,useasoftcottonclothandmildwindowcleaner,gasorwoodstoveglasscleaner,ortakeadamppapertowelanddipintotheflyash.Thisisaverymildabrasiveandwillnotdamagetheglass.
FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS:Never use gasoline, gasoline-type lantern fuel, kerosene, charcoal lighterfluid,orsimilarliquidstostartor“freshenup”afireintheheater.Keepallsuchliquidswellawayfromtheheaterwhileitisinuse.
SMOKE DETECTOR: Smoke detectors should be installed and maintained in the structure wheninstallingandoperatingapelletburningappliance.
OPERATION:Theashpananddoormustbeclosedsecurelyforproperandsafeoperationofthepelletstove.Alsoensureallgasketsonthedoorarecheckedandreplacedwhennecessary.
KEEP ASH PAN FREE OF RAW FUEL.
DONOTPLACEUNBURNEDORNEWPELLETFUELINASHPAN.Afireintheashpanmayoccur.

A. The stovewill shut offwhen the fire goes out and the exhaust temperature drops below 120°F(49°C).

Thestovehasahightemperaturesafetyswitch.Ifthetemperatureonthehopperreaches200°F(93°C),theaugerwillautomaticallystopandthestovewillshutdownwhentheexhausttemperaturecools#4lightflashes.Dealerwillhavetoresetthesensor.Ifthishappens,callyourlocaldealertoresetthe200°F(93°C)highlimitswitch. ALSO FIND THE REASONS WHY THE UNIT OVERHEATED.

• AUTO/OFFmode:ToturntheunitOFF,turnthethermostatdownoroff.NOTE:Theunitwillrunonlowforthree(3)minutesbeforeitturnsoff.
DO NOT unplug unit while Combustion fan is operating. This may lead to smoke escaping from the stove.
MANUAL MODE:Allcontrolofcircuitboardfunctionisadjustedatthecircuitboard.To START:Press theON/OFFbutton.Thestovewill turnon.Thesystemlightwillflash.TheAugerLightwillflashwitheachpulseoftheauger(theAugerFeedRateispre-programmedduringstart-up).TheHeatLevelIndicatorwillshowtheHeatLevelthatthestovewillrunatafterstart-upandcanbeadjustedbutthechangewillnottakeaffectuntilthestart-uphasfinished.Ifthisisthefirsttimetheunithasbeenstartedortheunithasrunoutoffuel,theaugerwillneedtobeprimed.Thiscanbedonebyrestartingtheunitfive(5)minutesintoitsstart-uporbyputtingasmallhandfullofpelletsintotheburnpot.To OPERATE: Whenafirehasbeenestablished,theSystemLightwillturnsolid(afterapproximately10-15minutes)andtheAugerLightwillcontinuetoflashtothecorrespondingHeatLevelsetting.Theconvectionblower(roomairblower)willturnon.Thespeedofthisbloweriscontrolledbythesettingoftheheatleveloutputindicator.TheconvectionblowercanbeturnedOFFbydepressingtheconvectionblowercontrolbutton.Forthebestefficiencytheconvectionblowershouldbeleftonatalltimes.

Operating InstructionsSLiDeR/DamPeR Set-uP:
THE SLIDER / DAMPER MUST BE SET AT TIME OF INSTALLATION.Thisisusedtoregulatetheairflowthroughthepelletstove.If,afterlongperiodsofburning,thefirebuildsupandoverflowstheburnpotorthereisabuildupofclinkers,thiswouldbeasignthatthepelletqualityispoor,thisrequiresmoreprimaryair,thesliderdampermustbepulledouttocompensate.Pullingthesliderdamperoutgivesthefiremoreair.
Theeasiestwaytomakesurethatanefficientflameisachievedistounderstandthecharacteristicsofthefire.• A tall, lazy flame with dark orange tips requires more air–Openslider(pullout)slightly.
• A short, brisk flame, like a blowtorch, has too much air–Closeslider(pushin)slightly.
•Iftheflameisinthemiddleofthesetwocharacteristicswithabrightyellow/orange,activeflamewithnoblacktipsthentheairissetforproperoperation,refertoFigure7.
The combustion exhaust blower is a variable speed blowercontrolledbytheheatoutputbutton.Thisblowerwilldecreasethevacuumpressure insidethestoveandastheheatoutputbuttonisturneddown.
SPECIAL NOTES:
PelletqualityisamajorfactorinhowthePelletstovewilloperate.Ifthepelletshaveahighmoisturecontentorashcontentthefirewillbelessefficientandhasahigherpossibilityofthefirebuildingupandcreatingclinkers(hardashbuild-up).
guiDeLineS foR fine-tuning foR fueL QuaLity:
Duetofuelqualitythesliderdamperandcontrolboardtrimsmayneedtobefine-tuned.
1.Iftheunitbuildsuponallsettings,thesliderdamperrodshouldbepulledoutinsmallincrementstogivetheunitmoreair.
2.Iftheunithasexcessesashbuild-upinthelineronthelowerfeedsettings,theCombustionBlowerTrimshouldbeincreasedonesettingatatimeuntiltheproblemimproves(FactorySettingis#2).
3.Ifthefireisgoingoutonlowbecausetheairflowistoogreat,theCombustionBlowerTrimcanbeloweredtothe#1setting.
4.Ifthestovehasexcessesashbuild-upinthelineronthehighersettingstheFeedRateTrimshouldbetrimmeddownasettingatatimeuntiltheproblemimproves(Factorysettingis#4).
5.Ifyouneedmoreheatandthefuelhaslongpellets,themajorityareover1”(2.5cm)inlength,theFeedRateTrimcanbemovedup to the#5setting.NOTE:Onlydo this if the fuelburnswithoutbuildingup.

Routine Cleaning and Maintenance
The following list of components should be inspected and maintained routinely to ensure that theapplianceisoperatingatits’optimumandgivingyouexcellentheatvalue:

BURNER POT AND LINER(2-3days)
Every twoto threedays(whentheunit iscold), removetheburn-pot liner fromthestove. Usingametalscraper,removematerialthathasaccumulatedoriscloggingtheliner’sholes.Thendisposeofthescrapedashesfromthelinerandfrominsidetheburn-pot.Placetheburn-potbackintothestove,makingsurethatthepipesareproperlyinsertedintotheburnpot.Placethelinerbackintotheburn-pot,makingsurethattheignitorholeinthelinerisalignedwiththeignitortube(showninFigure8).Pushthelinerupagainsttheignitortube.

Ahandleislocatedinthecenterofthestovejustabovethedoor(showninFigure6).Thishandleistobepulledupanddownafewtimes(ONLYWHENTHEUNITISCOLD)inordertocleanawayanyflyashthatmayhavecollectedontheheatexchangertubes.Asdifferenttypesofpelletsproducedifferentamountsofash,cleaningofthetubesshouldbedoneonaregularbasistoenabletheunittorunefficiently.
ASH PAN AND DOOR GASKETS (weekly)
Afterextendeduse thegasketingmaycome loose.To repair this,glue thegasketingonusinghigh-temperature fiberglassgasketglueavailablefromyour localdealer.This is importanttomaintainanairtightassembly.
DOOR GLASS CLEANING (2-3days)
Cleaningoftheglassmustonlybedonewhenstoveiscold.Openthedoorbyliftingthehandle.Theglasscanbecleanedbywipingdowntheoutsideandinsideoftheglasswithadrysoftcloth.

Thispart is locatedunderthedoor.Toremovetheashpan,openthecoverfromtherighthandside,andlifttheashpanupandout.Dumptheashesintoametalcontainerstoredawayfromcombustibles.Monitortheashleveleveryweek.Remember that different pellet fuels will havedifferent ash contents. Ash content is a goodindicationof fuel efficiency andquality. Referto “saFety Warnings and recOmmendatiOns” fordisposalofashes.Vacuumtheinsideoftheashpancompartmentinsidethepedestal includingthehole at the topbackof the compartment.Replace the ash pan and close pedestal door. Exclusions and Limitations:1.ThisWarrantydoesnotcovertarnish,discolorationorwearontheplatingorpaint.2.ThisWarrantyexcludeswearandtearorbreakagecausedbycleaning,movingorserviceonlogset.3.Aqualifiedinstallermustinstallthisstoveorfireplace.ThisLimitedWarrantycoversdefectsinmaterialsandworkmanshiponlyiftheproducthasbeeninstalledinaccordancewithlocalbuildingandfirecodes;intheirabsence,refertotheowner’smanual.Iftheproductisdamagedorbrokenasaresultofanyalteration,willfulabuse,mishandling,accident,neglect,ormisuseoftheproduct,theLimitedWarrantydoesnotapply.
4.ThestovemustbeoperatedandmaintainedatalltimesinaccordancewiththeinstructionsintheOwner’sManual.Iftheunitshowssignsofneglectormisuse,itisnotcoveredunderthetermsofthisWarrantypolicy.PerformanceproblemsduetooperatorerrorwillnotbecoveredbytheLimitedWarrantypolicy.
5.Asthisisaheatingappliancesomechangesincolourofsurfacefinishesmayoccur.Thisisnotaflawandassuchisnotcoveredunderthiswarranty.
6.Someminorexpansion,contraction,ormovementofcertainpartsandresultingnoise,isnormalandnotadefectand,therefore,isnotcoveredunderthisLimitedWarranty.
7.Misuseincludesover-firing.Over-firingthisappliancecancauseseriousdamageandwillnullifytheLimitedWarranty.
8.TheLimitedWarrantywillcoverglassthermalbreakageonlyandwillnotcovermisuseofthestoveglass,includingbutnotlimitedtoglassthatisstruck,hassurfacecontaminatesorhashadharshorabrasivecleanersusedonit.
9.ThiswarrantydoesnotcoverproductsmadeorprovidedbyothermanufacturersandusedinconjunctionwiththeoperationofthisstovewithoutpriorauthorizationfromSherwoodIndustriesLtd.TheuseofsuchproductsmaynullifytheLimitedWarrantyonthisstove.IfunsureastotheextentofthisLimitedWarranty,contactyourauthorizedEnvirodealerbeforeinstallation.
10.SherwoodIndustriesLtd.willnotberesponsibleforinadequateperformancecausedbyenvironmentalconditions.
11.TheLimitedWarrantydoesnotcoverinstallationandoperationalrelatedproblemssuchasspillagecausedbyenvironmentalconditions.Environmentalconditionsincludebutarenotlimitedtonearbytrees,buildings,rooftops,wind,hills,mountains,inadequateventingorventilation,excessiveoffsets,negativeairpressuresorotherinfluencescausedbymechanicalsystemssuchasfurnaces,fans,clothesdryersetc.
12.TheLimitedWarrantyisvoidif: a)Thestovehasbeenoperatedinatmospherescontaminatedbychlorine,fluorineorotherdamaging
chemicals. b)Thestoveissubjecttosubmersioninwaterorprolongedperiodsofdampnessorcondensation. c)Anydamagetotheunit,combustionchamberorothercomponentsduetowater,orweatherdamage
whichistheresultof,butnotlimitedto,improperchimney/ventinginstallation. c)Saltairincoastalareasorhighhumiditycanbecorrosivetothefinish;theseenvironmentscancause
rusting.DamagecausedbysaltairorhighhumidityisnotcoveredbytheLimitedWarranty.13.ExclusionstotheLimitedWarrantyinclude:injury,lossofuse,damage,failuretofunctiondueto
accident,negligence,misuse,improperinstallation,alterationoradjustmentofthemanufacturer’ssettingsofcomponents,lackofproperandregularmaintenance,alteration,oractofGod.
14.TheLimitedWarrantydoesnotcoverdamagecausedtothefireplaceorstovewhileintransit.Ifthisoccurs,donotoperatethestoveandcontactyourcourierand/ordealer.
15.TheLimitedWarrantydoesnotextendtoorincludefireboxpaint,doororglassgasketswithdamagecausedbynormalwearandtear,orexteriorpaintdiscolorationorchipping,worngaskets,etc.
16.TheLimitedWarrantydoesnotincludedamagetotheunitcausedbyabuse,improperinstallation,ormodificationoftheunit.
17.Damagetoplatedsurfacescausedbyfingerprints,scratches,melteditems,orotherexternalscoresandresiduesleftontheplatedsurfacesfromtheuseofabrasivecleanersorpolishesisnotcoveredinthiswarranty.
18.TheLimitedWarrantydoesnotcovertarnish,discolorationorwearontheplatedsurfaces.19.ThepaintontheMetalBrickLinermaypeel.Thisisduetotheextremeconditionsappliedtothepaint
duringnormalusage.Itisnotaflawandisnotcoveredunderwarranty.20.SherwoodIndustriesLtd.isfreeofliabilityforanydamagescausedbythefireplaceorstove,aswellas
inconvenienceexpensesandmaterials.TheLimitedWarrantydoesnotcoverincidentalorconsequentialdamages.
21.TheLimitedWarrantydoesnotcoveranylossordamageincurredbytheuseorremovalofanycomponentorapparatustoorfromtheEnvirofireplaceorstovewithouttheexpresswrittenpermissionofSherwoodIndustriesLtd.andbearingaSherwoodIndustriesLtd.labelofapproval.
22.AnystatementorrepresentationofEnviroproductsandtheirperformancecontainedinEnviroadvertising,packagingliterature,orprintedmaterialisnotpartoftheLimitedWarranty.
23.TheLimitedWarrantyisautomaticallyvoidedifthefireplaceorstove’sserialnumberhasbeenremovedoralteredinanyway.Ifthestoveisusedforcommercialpurposes,itisexcludedfromtheLimitedWarranty.
24.Nodealer,distributor,orsimilarpersonhastheauthoritytorepresentorwarrantEnviroproductsbeyondthetermscontainedwithintheLimitedWarranty.SherwoodIndustriesLtd.assumesnoliabilityforsuchwarrantiesorrepresentations.
25.SherwoodIndustriesLtd.willnotcoverthecostoftheremovalorre-installationofthestove,hearth,facing,mantels,ventingorothercomponents.
26.LabourtoreplaceorrepairitemsunderthisLimitedWarrantywillbecoveredperourwarrantyservicefeereimbursementschedule.Labourratesaresetpercomponentandassuchtotallabourcostsmaynotbecovered.
27.SherwoodIndustriesLtd.isnotliableforfreightorlabouronanystovereplacedin-fieldandisnotliablefortravelcostsforservicework.Intheeventofin-homerepairwork,thecustomerwillpayanyin-hometravelfeesorservicechargesrequiredbytheAuthorizedDealer.
28.AtnotimewillSherwoodIndustriesLtd.beliableforanyconsequentialdamageswhichexceedthepurchasepriceoftheunit.SherwoodIndustriesLtd.hasnoobligationtoenhanceormodifyanystoveoncemanufactured(example:asastoveevolves,fieldmodificationsorupgradeswillnotbeperformed).
29.ThisLimitedWarrantyisapplicableonlytotheoriginalpurchaseranditisnon-transferable.30.ThiswarrantyonlycoversEnviroproductsthatarepurchasedthroughanauthorizedEnvirodealer.31.IfforanyreasonanysectionoftheLimitedWarrantyisdeclaredinvalid,thebalanceofthewarranty
remainsineffectandallotherclausesshallremainineffect.32.TheLimitedWarrantyistheonlywarrantysuppliedbySherwoodIndustriesLtd.,themanufacturer
ofthestove.Allotherwarranties,whetherexpressorimplied,areherebyexpresslydisclaimedandpurchaser’srecourseisexpresslylimitedtotheLimitedWarranty.
33.SherwoodIndustriesLtd.anditsemployeesorrepresentativeswillnotassumeanydamages,eitherdirectlyorindirectly,causedbyimproperusage,operation,installation,servicingormaintenanceofthisstove.
34.SherwoodIndustriesLtd.reservestherighttomakechangeswithoutnotice.Pleasecompleteandmailthewarrantyregistrationcardandhavetheinstallerfillintheinstallationdatasheetinthebackofthemanualforwarrantyandfuturereference.
35.SherwoodIndustriesLtd.isresponsibleforstockingpartsforamaximumofseven(7)yearsafterdiscontinuingthemanufactureorincorporationoftheitemintoitsproducts.AnexceptiontothiswouldbeifanOEMsupplierisnotabletosupplyapart.
