Competitive Selection Process Application Due Wednesday, March 4, 2009, 4:00 PM

Score based on data in Project Narrative

Coordination among agencies will be a major consideration

Identify source of non-DOT match (20% for Capital projects, 50% for Operational Projects)

Tips for Successful Applications

Look for partners: these programs reward coordination/collaboration

Become active in your county’s Coordination Council

Identify the specific page number(s) in the Coordination Plan that best justify your project

Do not propose projects that duplicate existing service; look for a unique unmet need
