Neuroscience Leadership Programs
Leading with SubstanceTM
The Leading Humans Philosophy
Leading humans will never be easy, but it can be easier. We live in a Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous (VUCA) world that now has five generations in the workplace, all with different ways of looking at the world, with different wants and needs, and with different skills and intelligences. In leadership, we have a fundamental problem - leaders lead humans and yet we don’t truly understand what it means to be human or how to function at our best as humans, or more accurately, we haven’t prioritised this knowledge and understanding in developing as leaders.
In this VUCA world, leaders can no longer rely on technical expertise to engage, motivate and realise the potential of teams, colleagues and themselves. Effective leadership in the future will require leaders to change and develop their underlying skills base. To be sustainable, organisations and the leaders within them, must become better versions of themselves, defined by Leading Humans as Leaders of SubstanceTM.
You are a Leader of SubstanceTM when:
You make things happen through exceptional execution and an understanding of human productivity principles
People want to work with and for you. Your self leadership is exemplary and capability to build relationships, engage and motivate is outstanding
You create insight and exert positive influence through powerful conversations and help people grow and develop
You effectively and respectfully influence the thinking and behavior of those around you, based on your own thought leadership
Leaders who are qualified to lead in the VUCA world must:
Understand how the human brain really works
Know how to get the best from their brain
Understand the brain’s potential and limitations
Learn leadership strategies that work with the human brain, not against it

Neuroscience of Leadership
Understanding brain science gives leaders an unfair advantage in people management. Rather than reacting to the behaviour of those around them, imagine if leaders could diagnose it? Imagine if you could scientifically assess why people do what they do (including yourself) and then be able to prescribe more useful, more powerful and more influential responses and resolutions to the normal people challenges leaders deal with – to become leaders of substance.
Neuroscience of Leadership is a one-day interactive workshop that explores the neuroscience of leadership, human motivation and influence and will enable you to develop a better way to engage, motivate and collaborate with others.
The Workshop Will Consider:
• Why leading humans is so hard• A new leadership model for model for a new age• How humans are wired• How are you wired (your brain will be mapped!)• How to rewire• The 6Ds of habit change

Leaders spend 80% of their time in conversation, and 37% of time in meetings. This presents an opportunity to influence through powerful conversation. A powerful conversation is one where ‘all parties leave with different thinking than when they came’ – a coaching-style conversation that has been insightful, influential, motivational and useful – and that takes skill.
Rewired Conversations is a two-day interactive workshop that unpacks six B.E.T.T.E.R conversation habits and six super powerful conversations to enable you to take your conversational mastery to a whole new level using a brain-based approach.
Program pre-requisites: it is recommended that you complete Neuroscience of Leadership. However, this is not essential.
Six B.E.T.T.E.R Conversation Habits:• Brain-friendly• Emotionally balanced• Toward focused• Tested assumptions• Encouraging effort• Responsibility clear

The program reminded me about the importance of ‘space’ to reflect on my own capacity as a leader and the impact of our responses to events, situations and people.

Neuroscience Leadership Programs
The smartest teams are those with the least amount of ‘process loss’. For teams to achieve high performance, they need to have the right mindset and learn how to have the right conversations. NeuroPerformance is a two-day interactive workshop that introduces you to the three key pillars of NeuroPerformance. You will walk away with a plan on how you can support your colleagues to form high performing teams. Schools often find it very valuable to send teaching teams and leadership teams to this workshop.
The workshop will consider:• The science of high performing teams• Three key elements of NeuroPerformance• Operating from a growth mindset• Embracing feedback• Engaging in powerful performance conversations
We have learned more about the human brain in the last 25 years than in all history. This new science is challenging the way we think about how we communicate and how we lead. We know that we get easily distracted, that we can be non-productive in conversations and meetings, and that quality thinking is desirable yet rarely achieved. We also know that ‘insight’ is key to changes in behaviour and in fostering accountability. We need to change the way we have conversations and structure meetings. They need to be more A.W.E.S.O.M.E!
Awesome Conversations is a one-day interactive workshop that explores the neuroscience of insight, A.W.E.S.O.M.E conversation framework, what to do when conversations go ‘wrong’ and how to have candid conversations.
