Accorded full recognition and importance to deployment of IT and e-Governance.
Kept adequate budget provisions for IT in the respective departments rather than at one place in IT Department
IT Budgeting process:
Prepares IT budget for the coming year in the month of September every year keeping in view the funds required for on-going projects as well for the new projects.
The Budgeting demand of every department is discussed and decided at the level of Hon’ble CM
Based on the decisions, the required funds are either kept in the budget provisions of IT Department or in the concerned department.
IT spending over 3 years - A indicator of % of Annual Expenditure spent:
Total IT spending is ranging between 2- 3.5% of the State budget

Breakup of IT Spending - where is the money being spent?:
IT budget was spent mainly in two areas – public dealing areas and revenue generating areas in the first phase of implementation.
Projects include SUWIDHA, Social Security, Excise & Taxation, Education, Registration of Properties, Land Records, Transport, Treasuries ad Accounts, Web portals, Municipal Corporations and Connectivity etc.
