MEPSI Micro Propulsion System XV0E10889-01

• Five thrusters for pitch, yaw, roll and delta-v

• 53 mN thrust

• Up to 43,000 minimum impulse firings

• Redundant, frictionless valves

The MEMS PicoSat Inspector (MEPSI) Micro-Pro-pulsion System (MiPS) is a cold gas propulsionsystem designed for 1U CubeSats.

Using Chemically Etched Micro System(ChEMS™) technology, VACCO has produced acomplete propulsion system including propellantstorage, pressurization, distribution and thrusters. This simple, highly integrated design uses a self-pressurizing liquid propellant that is expelled as agas.

Capable of 23 N-Sec of total impulse with up to43,000 firings, MiPS brings true propulsion capa-bilities to micro-spacecraft for formation flying, atti-tude control and velocity change (delta-v).

Palomar Micro Propulsion System XS0E10220-01

• Over 200,000 thruster firings in a simulated space environment

• Ten frictionless valves for thrust, plenum pressure regulation, and filling

• Eight independent thrusters

• Simple command protocol for operation and health monitoring

The Palomar Propulsion System is a fully integratedCubeSat micro propulsion system that includes a pro-pellant tank, plenum and eight thrusters. The PalomarMiPS is designed to occupy the center of a 3U CubeSat.This smart system is designed to interface with the

spacecraft through an I2C data bus for command andcontrol.

The Palomar MiPS is primarily a reaction control systemwith thrusters arranged so that use of all six degrees offreedom (DoF) in rotation and translation are possible.Additional propellant is available by stretching the tanklobes, allowing for a custom propulsion system massand volume based on specific mission needs.

Upgrades to other propellants available.
