Inertia: Inertia is the tendency of a body to resist a change in motion or rest.
Picture of inertia
![Page 7: Mechanics Physics presentation](https://reader035.vdocuments.us/reader035/viewer/2022070601/588442d41a28aba8438b5659/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
Inertia are two types1) Inertia of rest: It's a property associated with mass. Inertia of rest is a measure of a
tendency of the object not to leave from its permanent resting place.
2) Inertia of motion: A body which is in the state of motion, has inertia of motion and it continues to be in the state of motion with the same speed in the same direction in a straight line unless an external force is applied on it to change its state.

Fundamental forces
Fundamental forces: Those forces which are fundamental and do not originated from other forces, but all other forces can be expressed in terms. Those force are called fundamental forces.
Fundamental forces are Four types
1. Gravitational Force 2. Electromagnetic Force
3. Weak Nuclear Force 4. Strong Nuclear Force

Work done by variable force in expanding a spring
Fr ∝ -x∴ Fr = -kx [Spring Constant, k]
Here, F= - Fr = -(-kx) = kx

Motion of a projectile:
= cos = s∝
= t = cosAt t=t and point P,x=ON= cos. t∴ t= ………………….(1)
![Page 16: Mechanics Physics presentation](https://reader035.vdocuments.us/reader035/viewer/2022070601/588442d41a28aba8438b5659/html5/thumbnails/16.jpg)
Again, = + = s∝ - gt
At t=t and point P, y = PN = t + Þy = s∝ - g Þ y = x tan -Þ y = (tan) x – ( )
∴ y = bx - c
