UNLOCKING THE
POTENTIAL
OF ALL
LEARNERS
Dear Families We are now in our third week of remote and flexible online learning. It has been a delight to see completed children’s work uploaded on Flexibuzz. Parents you are to be acknowledged for the great work you are doing to support your children’s learning at home. Over the past two weeks teachers and Education Support Staff have
been working hard to make contact with students and families. In the following week we are moving to contact students through an online app called Webex. You will soon be contacted by classroom teachers to assist you in loading this application onto your computer or iPad. This will ensure students can have conversations with their teacher and classmates on this face to face learning application. We have been able to identify students who do not have access to digital technologies at home. Devices such as laptops and iPads have been now been made available on loan to these students free-of-charge so no student misses out. I look forward to hearing about children’s online learning now that most of our students have devices. During the holidays, the Department of Education provided maintenance works for Room 31 which is a relocatable building. This portable has been painted, the water tank replaced, the ramp way, the roof and ceiling have been repaired. Please see photos of the ‘make over’ and the room is now a pleasant building in which the children can learn. We thank the Victorian Education Department for these works. The installation of concrete treatment alongside the short term parking bays outside Meadow Heights Primary School has also been completed. We thank Hume City Council for making this possible.
