Hospitals of Distinction are selected based upon the
recommendation of Pacific Health Alliance for their
continual commitment to excellence in the categories of customer satisfaction, medical
expertise, and cost containment.

As a result of this recognition, in-patient services for participants who utilize these hospitals will be paid at 100% of covered
charges for medically necessary procedures billed to the hospital.
Additional services will be covered at your specific plan’s payment schedule; however,
your out-of-pocket expenses will be substantially less than comparable
services at other facilities.

Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital, originally located on Monterey and Hawkins Street in Hollister, was presented to the public November 13, 1907. The dedication of the
new “District” hospital on Sunset Drive was June 13, 1962; the first patients were admitted on June 19, 1962.
