F ounded and directed by coach Floyd Easley, Elite 10
Youth Athletics is a non profit organization that
focuses on developing STUDENT athletes who have the
potential to play Division-I, or have expressed an interest
and are committed to playing at the Division-I level. Over
the next several years Coach Easley will select a unique
group of players from the Las Vegas area to form an Elite
travel team with games in the January / February months.
The team will compete against other elite teams across
the nation including Georgia, North Carolina,
Texas, Florida, Virginia, Massachusetts,
Oklahoma, Alabama, and Washington. The
Las Vegas Texans are new members of
the Southern Nevada Youth Sports
Association (SNYSA) Middle School
League, and will begin play in the
fall of 2013. The core goal and
beliefs of the LV Texans is to
provide all children feasible access
to youth sports regardless of their
socioeconomic status.
the Las Vegas Texans consist of
approximately 140 cheerleaders
and 200 football players ranging
from ages 5 to 14 years old. Our
core recruitment and outreach
focuses on the youth of the West
Las Vegas community
"Coach Easley" as he is
affectionately called within the
Las Vegas community has earned
success with a similar program
he directed in California. With
the support of businessman Ed
Torres, Coach Easley's program
developed over 70 student
athletes who later went on to
play football at several Division
1 institutions. Out of these 70
athletes, eight are currently on
active NFL rosters. Elite 10
Youth Athletics has partnered
with several community based
programs, which ensures the
continued grown and
development of its members.

About St. Jude
St. Jude
Children’s

Hospital is
internationally
recognized for
its pioneering
work in finding cures and saving children with cancer
and other catastrophic diseases. St. Jude is the first
and only pediatric cancer center to be designated as a
Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer
Institute. Founded in 1962 by the late entertainer
Danny Thomas and based in Memphis, TN., St. Jude
freely shares its discoveries with scientific and
medical communities around the world. St. Jude is
the only pediatric cancer research center where
families never pay for treatment not covered by

of the family’s inability to pay. St. Jude is financially
supported by ALSAC, its fundraising organization. In
2010, St. Jude was ranked the most trusted charity in
the nation in a public survey conducted by Harris
Interactive, a highly respected international polling
and research firm. St. Jude was also named the
nation’s top children’s cancer hospital in
the 2010-11 Best Children’s Hospitals
rankings published by U.S. News &

Floyd Easley,
President, Head Coach
BIO:
Born in St. Louis and raised in
Los Angeles, Floyd Easley earned the
starting free safety position as a
freshman at Riverside City College in
Riverside, CA. He earned First Team All-
Conference, Most Improved Defensive
Player, Outstanding Defensive Back and All-
State Honors. Highly recruited by premiere universities such as Michigan,
Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Pitt, Cal, Oregon, Oregon State,
Syracuse, and Wisconsin, Easley ultimately committed to Arizona State
University as a Free Safety and Nickel Back. He helped lead the Sun Devils to
the 1987 Rose Bowl & the 1988 Freedom Bowl Championships. He was a key
member of a secondary that led the nation in interceptions and takeaways
under the guidance of Defensive Coordinator Larry Marmie and Secondary
Coach Pat Henderson. Easley's teammates consisted of current Hall of Famer
Randall McDaniel and future Hall of Famers Eric Allen, Darren Woodson, and
Tracie Armstrong.
Upon graduating from Arizona State University with a B.S. in
Kinesiology, Easley was invited to a minicamp with the Los Angeles Raiders
where he was subsequently released. With the direction and leadership of
his mentor, highly respected NFL Scout Milt Davis, Easley honed his skills as a
Talent Evaluator and Secondary Coach.
Easley has mentored, coached and tutored players on every level
through his Transition Sports Group program including over 30 Division-I
football players with seven eventually making NFL rosters and six currently
listed. He also serves as the Southwest Regional Scout for the Foster &
Easley Sports Management Group owned by former NFL great Kenny Easley
and respected sports agent Cameron Foster, based in Seattle, WA.
Easley is currently working on his Master’s Degree in International
Relations at Harvard University through the Executive Business Program. His
aim is to mentor, coach and train young men to become better students,
athletes, productive citizens and role models in their respective communities.
It is with great passion and diligence that Floyd Easley takes on this mission.
