Each person in the room has:Regular Standard Twin BedDeskDesk ChairChest-of-DrawersCloset SpaceData jack One phone jack per room (in Quads there are two). One cable jack (basic cable)BlindsAll residence halls have wireless internet and wired Ethernet connections

Room Assignments will be made available beginning Friday, July 19 at 8:30am
Go to www.reslife.umd.eduClick on “Log In” Link in upper left hand corner of website and log in to receive room assignment and roommate information
Rooms are assigned in the order students’ housing agreements are received
Students in Living-Learning Programs assigned with their program unless otherwise requested
Roommate requests--all students should e-mail [email protected] by 6/30 for best consideration (requests are not guaranteed).
Contact the Assignments Office for questions and concerns regarding room assignments

Your student will have one, two, or three roommates, depending on their particular assignment
Encourage your student to contact their roommates before arrival
There will also be opportunities for roommates to learn more about each other during opening

Know the Rules!There is NO smoking on campus.
Alcohol Policy: You must be 21 to possess or drink alcoholic beverages in your own room, and you cannot provide alcohol to persons who are underage.
Illegal drug use or possession (including marijuana) may result in loss of housing and suspension from the University.
Know how to help a friend in need!We encourage students to seek assistance if they are worried about a friend who has been drinking or using illegal drugs! The University has a policy which provides relief from disciplinary action if a student under the influence of alcohol or drugs calls for medical assistance for a friend, or for himself/herself.
