Types
• Pencils and liners are used on a variety of areas on the face.
• Lips• Upper lids• Lower lids

Why?
• They are used to define shapes.• Stop smudging.• Enhance and correct as shape.

Health and safety
• Pencils need to be re sharpened after every use to remove any medium that has been in contact with skin. They can also be wiped with an alcohol based sterilising wipe, however this can have a derogatory effect on the pencil itself.
• Liquids and gels should have the brushes sterilised after every use. Most artistes use a separate brush from what is sometimes provided

Maintenance
• It is a good idea to put the pencils in a fridge to harden then slightly before sharpening.
• Once sharpened take the sharp point off to avoid scratching the eye.
• Care must be taken when applying to the inner rim of the eye.
• CHECK FOR ALLERGIES!!
