Assessment of all attendance courses
There is NO FINAL WRITTEN EXAM to sit at the end of the any Hypnotherapy
course. You are assessed throughout by direct observation of your performance
during the attendance days and through your homework answers and recordings.
You will have to complete practice sessions at home and provide these for
marking. One of these must be a complete therapy session with a practice client.
You will be given feedback throughout the course. If you are having problems they
will be discussed with you – we want you to pass. You must complete all elements
of the course before any diplomas are awarded.
*You will not get your qualification until all coursework is completed to the
required standard. The time limit on this course is 12 months but do not use this as
an excuse to not complete homework and assessments. Once you get behind it
becomes more difficult to complete the work required.
You will need to produce a portfolio of your assessment recordings, scripts and
question answers. This will need to be retained for possible moderation by a
representative of ACCPH who may wish to see your work.

Metaphors, story-telling and internal ‘psycho-drama’
Metaphors and ‘story telling’ are very important aspects of hypnotherapy.
"Old World" view: The hypnotherapist tells the client a story incorporating one or
more carefully constructed metaphors. The client’s unconscious mind examines
the metaphor for parallels in their own life. They then unconsciously apply the
insights to make changes in their own behaviour or beliefs.
"New World" view: The hypnotherapist tells the client a story using one or more
personally specific 'metaphors'. The client’s whole mind works within the story and
is able to make instant changes in their behaviour or beliefs, living, feeling and
enjoying the changes straight away.
Many stories may be weird to the conscious mind. Stories may be just one
paragraph or much longer. A metaphor, when delivered as a story may be applied
to a wide variety of situations but they must allow the client to find their own
solution.

Level 3 NLP Practitioner
This module can be purchased as a Home Study NLP Practitioner Course.
Basic Ericksonian language patterns are learned within the NLP Practitioner
training as part of the whole course. This NLP Practitioner training is based on the
parts of NLP useful for therapy. It is really a Therapeutic NLP Practitioner course.
In the 1950s, Milton H. Erickson developed a radically different approach to
hypnotism, which has subsequently become known as Ericksonian hypnotherapy or
Neo-Ericksonian hypnotherapy. Erickson made use of an informal conversational
approach with many clients and complex language patterns, and therapeutic
strategies. The effects of which are rapid and very powerful.
Ericksonian hypnotherapy uses indirect suggestions as they are much harder to
resist, since they are frequently not recognised by the conscious mind as
suggestions. This is because they are usually disguised as stories or metaphors.
From the Therapeutic NLP Practitioner course we will learn the importance of:
• Anchoring
• Calibration Skills
• Change Personal History
• Circle of Excellence
• Conversational Hypnosis
• Decision Conditioning
• Embedded Commands
• Ericksonian Language Patterns
• Eye Accessing Cues
• Future Pacing
• Logical Levels
• Matching & Mirroring
• Mapping Across
• Maps & Filters
• Meta Model
• Meta Programs
• Milton Model
• Modelling
• Nested Loops
• Parts Work
• Pattern Interrupts and

• Perceptual Positions
• Reframing
• Representational Systems
• Six Step Reframing and newer
versions
• Sensory Acuity
• Sleight of Mouth Patterns
• State Elicitation
• Swish Patterns
• Time Based Therapy
• Visual-kinaesthetic Dissociation
• Visual Squash ……plus much
more.

Responsive Hypnotherapy is a stand-alone Post-graduate Advanced Clinical
Hypnotherapy course and is available to any hypnotherapist who holds a
recognised Practitioner Diploma. You must provide evidence for your qualification.
If you belong to a recognised UK professional body that will be sufficient evidence.
We study with the help of video and audio recordings of real life treatments. These
will be the standard techniques and protocols used.
When you study the options there will be other recordings, these will often show
variants of techniques, which is very useful to see how these are used to overcome
difficulties the clients were encountering.
What is Responsive Hypnotherapy?
The basic premise of this type of work is that people can change their mind fast. It
does not take weeks to change your mind – it takes seconds. When someone is
ready they can let go and feel the changes as they happen.
Much of this work is done in a rather light and natural trance – in fact the induction
used is something the client already has in their mind that makes them chilled out
14 Cressingham College of Hypnotherapy
and maybe even a little drowsy. Usually the client enters a deeper state totally of
their own non-conscious volition. This process is natural, indirect, conversational
and very non-threatening to the client.
Responsive Hypnotherapy does not look at the client’s past nor analyse why they
feel the way they do; it focuses on what is happening now, how to move the client
on to a predetermined and positive outcome. Painful abreactions rarely occur. The
lack of this unpleasant experience for the client was one of the main driving forces
behind the creation of this style of hypnotherapy.
Another important factor in the creation of this approach was speed of efficacy –
most problems eliminated for most people in one or two sessions – three or four for
multiple issues.
Every client is unique so the path to the future is different too – there are no
scripts to follow only the needs of the client’s map of their changing world. The
hypnotherapist is a highly skilled interactive guide.
He or she is not a dictator, provider of suggestions, giver of information or reader
of a script.
You will need to be able to tell a story, (metaphor), off-the-cuff with all the
elements your client needs to make their changes. This is based on the techniques
and protocols provided.
The hypnotherapist requires a significant degree of intuitive understanding. They
observe and identify the client’s modes of communication – verbal, nonverbal and
to all intents and purposes accepts their interpretation of reality.
The hypnotherapist quite rapidly helps the client to modify their thoughts,
emotions and behaviours, using the highly specialised techniques. The client draws
on the talents they already have and use these very effectively to feel and live the
changes as they happen.
The process is practiced in a style that is non-rigid, fluid and responsive to the
needs of the client. It is almost totally client led so is easy and meets very little
psychological resistance. The mind is not forced or coerced in any way. Self-
created changes are far more powerful than given suggestions.
This is similar to Aikido, where force is not met with counterforce but is allowed to
spend itself or to be diverted to new directions. In Responsive Hypnotherapy the
15 Cressingham College of Hypnotherapy
negative energy of their thoughts and behaviours is used to help the client’s
transformation.
Responsive Hypnotherapy takes it as read; that most if not all our negative
beliefs are ‘self-hypnotised’ into the brain Responsive Hypnotherapy is used for
rapidly de-hypnotising the mind to enable the client to take control of their
behaviour.
Not control of their old unwanted negative behaviour – that has gone; but of their
new life enhancing behaviour.
Not only are there no scripts but there is no CD to listen to for a month after. Why?
There are two reasons: there is no need; and how crap does it make your therapy
sound if someone has to listen to a CD for 30 days for it to work?
Responsive Hypnotherapy - Making Life Easier.
I chose the tag line Making Life Easier because it does that for the client and for
the hypnotherapist.
It makes life easier for the client because they get rapid permanent relief from
their problems
It makes life easier for the hypnotherapist because they have a system that works
for most things for most people most of the time and is very easy to use.
16 Cressingham College of Hypnotherapy
This highly advanced training programme is open to anyone with a recognised
Advanced Hypnotherapy qualification. As this is almost like a 'Mastermind Group'

Become a Licensed Flourish Practitioner at Cressingham College of Hypnotherapy
You will learn everything you need in those 6 mind-blowing life enhancing days;
you will be worked on with Flourish Programme techniques from day 1. If you are
going to be a Licensed Flourish Practitioner you will need to flourish as a person
first.
Much of the above will happen on this programme, within a few days. Even during
those first few days when we are learning the basics, you will be hypnotised and
some of the higher concepts will be used to free your mind and body of clutter.
What is the Flourish Programme?
Flourish Programme©. Using Neuroscience, Evolutionary Psychology

The Flourish Programme
17 Cressingham College of Hypnotherapy
This is attained completing all the attendance days, homework, including research
and practice. When all of that is in place you will become a Licensed Flourish
Practitioner.
The Flourish Programme is a two phase therapy and support system:
Phase 1: Therapy
This is where you will learn how to work with clients in the following areas:
• Heavy addictions – alcohol, weed, cocaine, gambling, porn, etc.
• Psychoneuroimmunology – boosting health and immunological factors
• Hypnoneuroimmunotherapy© – the use of psychoneuroimmunology in
hypnotherapy
• Help with cancer care
• Help with chronic degenerative illness care
• Autoimmune problems
• Fertility
• Birth
• Extreme stress and anger
• Hypertension
• Diet control for diabetes
• OCD and Extreme anxiety
• PTSD
• Eating disorders
• Severe psychosomatic problems
• Trauma, rape and abuse
• Self harming
• Sports Performance
• Business performance
• Finding the Self
• Find Life’s purpose
• Developing Spirituality
• and many other areas
Phase 2: The Life-builder and Support sessions
This part of the Flourish Programme is optional to the client. Yes, you read it
correctly –optional. Many people who have undergone Phase 1 have totally
dissociated from their problem and are suffering no symptoms at all – forever. This
means they are able to get out there and enjoy life again. However; there are a

significant number of people who have lost the confidence to ‘get out there’
again. They need extra support. These people are usually serious addicts, suffered
from PTSD or abuse/rape victims.
This is where Phase 2 swings into action. This is because the
Programme is not just about getting rid of something
in as well. There are specially designed exercises that allow people to gain
confidence, become more social and trusting, build safe relationships and look for
work again, etc.
It is irresponsible to help someone let go and move on but not support them if they
need help to re-build their former life.

completed in just minutes”. The effects are dramatic and permanent.

Contact other hypnotherapy training establishments and compare my course
content and approach to theirs. If you want to ask for clarification on anything just
call on 01322 521011.
My hypnotherapy philosophy is a little 'out there' for some people. They will be
drawn to a more orthodox school and that is OK,(for them). But you probably want
to belong to hypnotherapy (r)evolution. When you are certain of the fact that you
want to be part of the expanding future call me on 01322 521011.
If you wish to join the hypnotherapy Practitioners Course I will interview you first
over the phone/Skype. I need to ensure that you will be one of our best adverts
when you are out there in the wider community changing people's lives.
The same applies to the Responsive Hypnotherapy and The Flourish Programme.
Once you have been accepted onto one of the courses or programmes you will be
expected to pay the required deposit to hold your place. These courses fill up fast
so do not wait too long. In special circumstances I may allow the transfer of the
deposit to another course - but only once.
All other courses may be booked as required.
Refund Policy If a student commences a course but decides not to continue the student will be entitled to a refund of that part of the training paid for but not received. This excludes the initial non-refundable deposit. Any training already received but the instalments have not been paid for, will become payable in full. There will be no graduation or certificates/diplomas given if payments are still outstanding. Full details are on the website

Venue
We have our own modest venue in Dartford. However; when a larger venue is
required we use one quite close to our base. You will be given details of the venue
at the time of booking.
We are about 6 minutes from the M25. We have our own off road parking, (limited
spaces so it is on a first come basis), but there is a public CP across the road priced
at £4.00 per day and free on Sunday. So the most you will pay for a weekend is
£4.00
Our base is about 5 minutes walk from Dartford Railway Station.
There are several accommodation facilities within a few minute walk. Bigger
hotels are a short drive away.
Course Accreditation by ACCPH All courses will have the following accreditation beneath them of our website.
They will be clearly marked with the level of the course.
At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Diploma from ACCPH and one from
Cressingham College of Hypnotherapy.
Cressingham College of Hypnotherapy has undergone a quality check to ensure that they and the
courses/programmes offered, meet specific quality criteria as required by ACCPH. The learning
outcomes of the course have been benchmarked at Level ? against descriptors published by
OFQUAL, ODLQC and other organisations to indicate the depth of study and level of difficulty
involved in successful completion by the learner. The completion of this course does not lead to an
OFQUAL, ODLQC qualification. The course itself has been created by Cressingham College of
Hypnotherapy to meet the specific requirements of their students and those of ACCPH.
ACCPHs’ accreditation involves a robust and rigorous quality audit by their inspectors to ensure
the minimum quality is met at all times. A regular review of Cressingham College of
Hypnotherapy and their courses is carried out as part of the endorsement process.
Images are for illustrative purposes only. They are from several different courses at different venues; others
