Page 1: letter of recommendaiton ogilvy

To  whom  it  may  concern,    This  letter  is  my  personal  recommendation  for  Lise-‐Marie  Amar.  Until  very  recently,  I  was  Lise-‐Marie’s  supervisor  during  her  three  months  internship  at  Ogilvy  &  Mather  Paris.    I   have   known   Lise-‐Marie   by   accepting   her   application   for   a   3   months   internship   as   an   account   manager  assistant  for  Ogilvy  &  Mather  in  2015,  as  Lise-‐Marie’s  direct  superior  and  Business  Manager.  She  was  assigned  to   the  Netflix   Global   and  Netflix   France   accounts   of   our   advertising   agency   and   played   a   great   role   in   the  production   and   organization   of   our   event,   The  Netflix   Fest.   Her   responsibilities  were   to   assist   the   account  manager  on  daily  tasks  and  current  projects,  set  up  meetings  but  also  be  the  link  between  our  client  and  the  agency.   She   worked   in   team  with   a   second   intern   throughout   her   whole   internship.   Her   adaptability   and  efficiency  at  work  have  been  truly  valued  and  counted  on,  in  the  team.    Lise-‐Marie  proved  herself  to  be  a  talented  saleswoman,  reliable  and  ambitious  and  as  such  was  for  instance  asked   to   help   with   other   positions   such   as   production.   She   stood   apart   from   her   fellow   intern   by   her  reactivity  to  always  looking  for  a  solution  while  working  on  the  festival,  but  also  her  capacity  to  multitask  and  handle  other  projects  as  efficiently  at  the  same  time.  Later,  her  colleagues  spoke  to  me  about  her  dedication  and  impressive  leadership.

Lise-‐Marie  has  significant  professional  experience,  from  entrepreneurship  experiences  as  an  event  manager  and  the  creation  of  her  own  brand  of  nightwear,  to  team  member  in  retail  and  now  advertising,  which  makes  her  the  strong  asset  she  is  today.  However,  I  feel  that  in  some  occasions  in  the  past  she  has  been  somewhat  overconfident  in  her  ability  to  get  the  job  done  in  time,  or  by  herself  although  it  has  to  be  taken  into  account  that  our  line  of  work  is  very  dynamic  and  last  minute  changes  are  part  of  the  operation.  I  have  raised  these  issues   with   her   and   I   suggested   that   she   takes   more   time   to   think   and   prepare   before   starting   a   task.  Following  my  comments,  she  was  responsive  and  welcoming  of  my  comments  and  I  believe  she  has  taken  this  to   heart,   as   I   have   not   seen   evidence   of   such   a   tendency   since.   Overall,   she   is   thorough   in   her  work   and  confidence  is  central  to  the  challenges  she  seeks.

Lise-‐Marie   was   one   of   our  most   driven   interns.   Indeed,   on   several   occasions,   she   has   shown   initiative   by  asking  for  more  work  or  to  be  involved  in  tasks  that  where  not  hers  such  as  event  planning,  or  speaking  to  the  customer   herself.   She   has   also   acquired   knowledge   and   deep   understanding   of   the   role   of   a  manager   by  shadowing  my  colleagues  and  I,   in  our  daily  work.  Throughout  her   internship,  she  has  shown  a  capacity  for  problem  solving  and  an  ability  to  think  on  her  feet,  often  in  stressful  times  such  as  when  the  deadlines  were  not  respected  or  a  member  of  the  team  could  not  deliver.  More  over,  the  account  Lise-‐Marie  was  working  on  is  one  of  the  biggest  client  the  agency  has,  inciting  her  to  get  a  good  understanding  of  the  latter  and  its  needs,  only  improving  her  performances,  which  is  key  to  master  selling.  Finally,  although  she  seemed  to  struggle  at  first   with   diplomatic   skills,   she   learnt   to   develop   them   in   order   to   build   good   working   relations   with   her  colleagues.  I  believe  she  has  learnt  a  lot  from  her  internship  at  Ogilvy  &  Mather,  but  also  played  a  great  role  in  the  last  3  months  among  the  team,  and  to  our  clients.

I  fully  support  her  wish  to  gain  skills  needed  to  enact  her  goals  and  fulfill  what  I  believe  to  be  her  considerable  potential.

Yours  Truly,  Anne-‐  Sophie  Carbo,  Business  director  at  Ogilvy  &  Mather  Paris
