Going and GrowingSchool is in full swing for the students and faculty at Leahurst
College. September was a whirlwind as we held classes in our
beautiful school space for the first time. From the first day of
school, students and faculty have been working together to build
our knowledge and develop our community. Classes are on pace
students are learning, and every Friday a new and interesting
experience awaits. Our Enrichment Activities (pg 5) continue to
amaze and inspire students and staff alike and will always be an
important part of our school experience.
We are also very excited to announce that we will be offering
Grades 7 & 8 for the 2014-2015 academic year.The Leahurst
Junior College Program (Grades 7, 8, & 9) will offer an
outstanding introduction to the academic expectations of high
school and university. Grade 7-8 students will share the school
space with their upper year classmates, become valued membersof Leahurst Houses, and participate in the same weekly
enrichment activities for which the school is becoming so well-
known.
At Leahurst College, we truly believe that this is the beginning of something
special in Kingston. Leahurst College provides students with a one-of-a-kind
opportunity to learn in various unique and progressive ways. The learning
experience is centered around students, with an emphasis placed equally on
academics, athletics, culture, and technology.
