Brief Idea: Generally 3 types of Paging messages. 1. Paging Message Type 1

This message normally for the Cell channel Informations. This will give the no of frequencies allocated for the particular cell. In hopping case this will indicate the frequencies in the MAL list along with the BCCH frequency. In non hopping case will indicate the TCH & BCCH frequencies.

This message gives the information about the neighbor frequencies in the idle mode. Will only gives the BCCH of the neighbors defined. And the NCC permitted parameter allows the mobile to restrict the neighbors to be sent in the measurement report.

Once the Mobile sends the RACH it tries to decode all the AGCH information and waits for the Immediate assignment targeted to the particular mobile. It is being identified from the Establishment cause and Random reference.

In dedicated mode or group transmit mode, higher layers can request the setting of the channel mode.The channel mode modify procedure allows the network to request the mobile station to set the channelmode for one channel. The channel mode covers the coding, decoding and transcoding mode used on theindicated channel.
