    Before you use, read safety precautions carefully, and use this productproperly. The precautions described in this manual contain importantcontents related with safety; therefore, please follow the instructions

    accordingly. The precautions are composed of DANGER, WARNING andCAUTION.

    There is a danger of occurring electric shock in the input/output terminals so

    please never let your body or conductive substance is touched.

    1. If there is a concern about a serious accident caused by a malfunctionor abnormality of this product, please install an external protection circuit

    and devise a scheme for preventing an accident.

    2. This product does not contain an electric switch or fuse, so the userneeds to install a separate electric switch or fuse externally. (Fuserating: 250V 0.5A)

    3. To prevent defection or malfunction of this product, apply a properpower voltage in accordance with the rating.

    4. To prevent electric shock or malfunction of product, do not supply thepower until the wiring is completed.

    5. Since this product is not designed with explosion-protective structure, do

    not use it any place with flammable or explosive gas.6. Do not decompose, modify, revise or repair this product. This may be a

    cause of malfunction, electric shock or fire.7. Reassemble this product while the power is OFF. Otherwise, it may be a

    cause of malfunction or electric shock.8. If you use the product with methods other than specified by the

    manufacturer, there may be bodily injuries or property damages.9. There is a possibility of occurring electric shock so please use this

    product after installing it onto a panel while it is operating.

    the delivery.4. Use this product within the range of the operating ambient temperature,

    0 ~ 50 (When it is closely installed Max 40 ) and ambient humidity,

    35 ~ 85 % RH (No condensation).5. Do not use this product at any place with occurring corrosive (especially

    noxious gas or ammonia) or flammable gas.6. Do not use this product at any place with direct vibration or impact.7. Do not use this product at any place with liquid, oil, medical substances,

    dust, salt or iron contents. (Use at Pollution level 1 or 2)8. Do not polish this product with substances such as alcohol or benzene.

    (Use neutral detergent.)9. Do not use this product at any place with a large inductive difficulty or

    occurring static electricity or magnetic noise.10. Do not use this product at any place with possible thermal accumulation

    due to direct sunlight or heat radiation.11. Install this product at place under 2,000m in altitude.12. When the product gets wet, the inspection is essential because there is

    danger of an electric leakage or fire.13. In case of inputting thermocouple, use a compensating cable. (If using a

    normal wire, there is a possibility of occurring temperature error.)14. For R.T.D input, use a cable which is a lead wire has small resistance

    and resistances of three wires shall be the same. (If the three wireshave different resistances then there will be a temperature error.)

    15. To avoid an effect of inductive noise to input signal cables, use theproduct after separating the input signal cables from power, output andload cables.

    16. Separate an input signal cable from an output signal cable. If separating

    is not possible, please use the input signal cable after shielding it.17. Use non-earth sensor with thermocouple. (In case of using earth sensor,

    there is a possibility of occurring malfunction caused by a short circuit.)18. If there is excessive noise from the power supply, using insulating

    transformer and noise filter is recommended. The noise filter must beattached to a panel which is already connected to a ground and the wirebetween the filter output side and power supply terminal must be shortas possible.

    19. If twisting the power cables closely together then it is effective against

    noise.20. If the alarm functions are not properly set then it will not be output when

    the product is malfunctioning. Therefore, make sure its movements areproperly working before the operation.

    21. Turn the power OFF when replacing a sensor.22. Use an auxiliary relay in case of high frequent operation such as

    proportional operation or etc. its life span will be shorter if connecting aload without permissible rating of output relay. In this case, using SSRoutput type is recommended.

    Using Electromagnetic Switch: Proportional Cycle: set it above 20 sec.Using SSR: Proportional Cycle: set it above 1 sec.Life Span of Contact Point Output: above 10 million times (with no load)Electrical Life Span: 100 thousand times (250 V AC 3 A: with the rated

    load)

    23. Do not connect anything to the unused terminals.24. After checking the polarity of terminal, connect wires at the correct

    position.25. When this product is connected onto a panel, use a circuit breaker or

    switch approved with IEC947-1 or IEC947-3.26. Install a circuit breaker or switch at near place for convenient use.27. Write down on a label that if the circuit breaker or switch is operating

    then the power will be disconnected since the circuit breaker or switch isinstalled.

    28. For the continuous and safe use of this product, the periodicalmaintenance is recommended.

    29. Some parts of this product have limited life span, and others arechanged by their usage.

    30. The warranty period for this product including parts is one year if thisproduct is properly used.

    31. When the power is on, the preparation period of contact output isrequired. In case of using signals of external interlock circuit or etc., useit with a delay relay.

    32. In case of replacing this unit with a spare unit, make sure itscompatibility because its operation can be different by differentparameter settings even though the model name is the same.

    How to Set SV

    When turning the power ON for the first time, Present Temperaturewill be displayed in PV indicator and Setting Temperature will bedisplayed in SV indicator.For example) Putting Setting Temperature = 70 ,

    Present Temperature = 25

    Press key to shift the flickering digit to the digitwhere desired to be set as SV.(In this case, press

    key one time to get the tens digit.)Every time you press key, theflickering digit will be moved likethe right picture.

    Set 7 by pressing key.Pressing key is increasing the flickering digitPressing key is decreasing the flickering digit.Setting Range: Set a negative number within input range

    Ex) when changing 70 to -70 then press key to getthe thousands digit. If you press key at thethousands digit then the flickering digit will bedecreased in order of 1, 0 and -.

    To enter SV Setting Mode, press key.If the least significant digit in SV indicator is flickeringthen you can start to change SV.

    Let , parameter symbol of Proportional Band, bein PV indicator by press key

    Example) Setting 20 in Proportional Band (P)

    Press key for 3 sec. to enter parameter settingmode (other than SV).Parameter symbol will be displayed in PV indicator.At this time, the least significant digit will be flickeringand the flickering digit can be settable.

    Move the position of flickering digit to the tens digitby pressing key.Every time you press key,the flickering digit will be movedlike the right picture.

    Set 2 by pressing key.Pressing key is increasing the flickering digit

    Pressing key is decreasing the flickering digit.

    Press key after the setting ends then it goes tothe next parameter. As following the procedure from2 to 5 , you can set other parameters.

    ON/OFF Control SettingWhen you want to select ON/OFF control, set 0 in Proportional Band( P ) of Normal Setting Mode then ON/OFF control will operate. Atthis time, if you want to give hysteresis width then set hysteresiswidth in HYS parameter of Normal Setting Mode.

    After completing setting other than P.I.D or ARW setting, pleasedo Auto-tuning.Starting Auto-tuning is pressing key and key together.A.T indicator will be flickering and Auto-tuning will start.If you want to stop Auto-tuning during Auto-tuning operation,press key and key together. A.T indicator will bedisappeared and Auto-tuning will be stopped.If you change SV during Auto-tuning Operation then Auto-tuningOperation will be stopped. It will be controlled by P.I.D valuewhich is the value before starting Auto-tuning

    How to Set Each Parameter (Other than SV)

    *After the settings of parameters are finished, press key for more than 5 sec

    then it will return to PV/SV display mode. Also, if you do not use the keys for 1

    minute then it will automatically return to PV/SV display mode.

    After finishing the setting, press key.The digit will not be flickered and the controller willreturn to PV/SV display mode.

    The setting data lock function is used to prevent changing each setting value by

    the front panel keys or activating the auto-tuning function. i.e., after finishing thesetting, the lock function helps to prevent misoperation.

    For Setting Data Lock Function, After letting Loc be in PV indicator by pressing

    key in Parameter Mode(Other than SV), set a number shown in the below.

    The number makes the function ON/OFF.

    0: Cancellation of Setting Data Lock Function

    1: Changeable only SV when Setting Data Lock Function

    2: Lock all setting data

    PV/SV Setting Mode

    When turning the power ON, it will display Measuring Value in PVindicator and Setting Value in SV indicator. Except PV/SV Display orSV Setting Mode, there are Normal Setting Mode and Initial SettingMode which display or set integers.

    *1: SV is a target of control. Setting is possible within the input range.
