Probable Causes
Preventions
Sidewall Indentation
- Originated by the joint overlap of cord sheet during
the manufacturing process.
- It cause the difference of the expansion between
the section of overlapping and non overlapping.
- The indentation is a common characteristic of radial
tires and will not affect the performance or the
safety of the tire. So,try to explain to the customer.

Damage Causesd by stones trapped in the tread which penetrate the tread extend into the belts
![Page 63: KUMHO TIRE AS POLICY](https://reader036.vdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022081504/5681515a550346895dbf7b1f/html5/thumbnails/63.jpg)
Probable Causes
Preventions
Tread Area - Separation Due To Stone Drilling
Tread design and/or misapplication of the tire to service
conditions (gravel roads/Quarry operation)
- Remove remaining stones from the tread frequently.
- Review tire selection.
- Avoid overloading condition.

Probable Causes
Preventions
Tread Area - Rib Tearing
- Caused by running over curbs and rails, or by severe
localized impacts.
- Aggravated by overloading, hot tires and sharp turning.
- Review driving procedures.
- Avoid overloading condition, high speed driving and sharp
cornering.

Probable Causes
Preventions
Tread Area - Heel & Toe Wear
- Untimely rotation of tires.
- Under-inflation and/or overloading condition.
- Caused by mismatched inflation pressures or tire diameter
in a dual assembly and certain conditions such as
mountainous terrains, etc.
- Rotate tires regularly.
- Maintain proper air pressure and avoid overloading.
- Correct defective suspension.

Probable Causes
Preventions
Run Flat
- Rapid loss of inflation pressure
- Continue to run after puncture.
- Running under extremely low inflation pressure.
- Maintain proper inflation pressure.
- Check the necessary things that related to air leakage.
(rim, valve & cap, tube and flap etc.)
