Plate Tectonic Shuffle
8.9B relate plate tectonics to the formation of crustal features
Vocabulary---Converge- move together
Diverge- move apart SongTransform- slide past
Subduct- go underneath
Diverge 4 steps away from your shoulder partner
Converge--4 steps back towards your shoulder partner
Transform-- Left 2 steps forward then 2 backRight 2 steps back then 2 forward.
Subduct-- Line on right hold up arm and left line goes underneath to switch places.

Periodic Cake Walk8.5C Interpret the arrangement of the Periodic Table, including groups and
periods, to explain how properties are used to classify elements.
SkipA
Few
• Draw this piece of thePeriodic Table out on a concrete area using chalk.• Give each student a whiteboard and a marker.• Play some music and havestudents walk around the outside of the drawing.
• When the music stops have them go to a square and then ask themquestions such as How many valence electrons? Metals or non-metals?
