• U.S. Internet users spend 3x time on social media and blogs than they do on email

• Almost 2/3 of internet users use a social network regularly

• 65% of companies have acquired customers through Facebook

• Twitter users are younger, better educated and have higher incomes than the general population– 52% female/ 48% male – 26% make more than $75K/year

– 27% are age 35-44 – 30% are age 26-34

– 67% of brand followers purchase from that brand

– 79% of brand followers are more likely to recommend that brand

• 49% of B2C companies use Twitter and generate 2x the number of leads compared to those that don’t
