STUDIO POLICIES Attendance: Now that show time is quickly approaching, it is very important to make
attendance a high priority. Students will be learning a lot of new dance and gym material in
the next two months and it is easy to fall behind. We know that there are times that absenc-
es cannot be helped, but please try to attend classes regularly. Charting will begin very
soon.
Tuition Due Date: Tuition is always due the first class of the month. A 10% late fee will
be applied to all tuition on the 16th. If you would like to set up credit card automatic pay-
ment, please stop at the office and someone can help you. We need a new authorization
form each year. There are no deductions or credits for missed classes. Withdrawals must
be made before the first class of the each month or you will be billed for the entire month.
Observation: We will be having parent observation the last week of April. Dates for
visitation are Wednesday, April 24th through Tuesday, April 30th. Parents are welcome to
sit and observe the class. Please remember you are in a learning environment and we must
keep noise to a minimum.
Website: Please check the website regularly. We will try to keep all new forms and papers
updated on the website for you.
2019 DANCE SHOW NEWS
ATTENTION ALL LINE DANCERS: THERE IS A MANDATORY $50.00 ASSESS-MENT TO ALL LINE DANCERS TO HELP DEFRAY THE COST OF POWERS AUDITORI-UM. THIS CAN BE GENERATED THROUGH ANY FUNDRAISERS (SUCH AS RAFFLE TICKETS, GORANT’S CANDY, DANCE-A-THON) OR PAID DIRECTLY TO THE OFFICE. EACH LINE FAMILY IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR ONE AD IN THE DANCE PROGRAM TO DEFRAY THE COST OF THE PICTURES IN THE PROGRAM. THOSE FAMILIES NOT SUBMITTING AN AD WILL HAVE A PICTURE FEE ASSESSMENT OF $30.00.
AD FORM: Attached to this newsletter you will find an ad form for the 2019 Dance Show
program. We are asking for your assistance in soliciting ads. Personal ads may also be
placed. Please remember it is mandatory for all Dance Line members to solicit one ad for
the program. Your help is great appreciated.
COSTUME DEPOSITS: The costume deposits for “The Greatest Showman” are now past
due. After April 30th a late fee of $5.00 per costume will be added to your account and this
fee will NOT be applied to your balance. No costumes can be made or ordered without a
deposit. Please also remember, all balances on your account, must be zero to
pick up your costumes. (This includes all tuition, costume charges, and any
other charges on accounts).
RAFFLE TICKETS: We will be drawing the dance show raffle winners all month. Check
the bulletin board behind the counter to see who is winning!!
“THE GREATEST SHOWMAN” TICKET SALES: Tickets for “The Greatest Show-
man” will be held the same as last year. Members of dance lines will have ticket
sales on Tuesday, May 14th. You may come and sign in, but you must stay here
until your name is called. The following are start times for various groups:
Graduating Seniors 10:30 a.m.
Company/Senior Line 11:00 noon Teen Line 12:00 p.m.
Junior Line 12:45 p.m. On Wednesday, May 15th we will have ticket sales for all other classes. Tickets sales will begin at 10:30 a.m. You may come and sign in but you must stay here until your name is called. It is not fair to come in and sign at 7:00 a.m. and then leave. After ticket sale day, tickets will be available during office hours, Monday-Wednesday 11:00
a.m.—8:00 p.m., Thursday 11:00 a.m.– 7:00 p.m. and Saturday 11:00 a.m.—2:00 p.m.
Ticket prices are $20.00 pre-sale and $22.00 at the door the nights of the show. Tickets are
assigned seating so please know how many seats you need for each night’s performance.
THERE WILL BE NO PHONE SALES OR SEATS REQUESTED PRIOR TO THE
START OF THE SALE. IF YOU CAN NOT BE PRESENT, PLEASE HAVE SOME-

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT
Kendall Bartels - Kendall is a senior
at Canfield High School. She is a mem-
ber of National Honor Society, Leo ’s
club, and is the senior representative for
both marching and symphonic band. She
will be attending Grove City College to
major in chemistry. This year is Ken-
dall’s seventeenth year of dance at
KDGC. She will be dancing as P.T. Bar-
num in this year ’s show. She would also
like to thank all of the staff and her
friends for creating such a great experience for these past years.
Olivia Donadee - Olivia Donadee is
a senior at South Range High School
and has danced at KDGC for 15 years.
At South Range, Olivia is a varsity
cheerleader, class Vice President, Na-
tional Honor Society treasurer, Key
Club secretary, and a member of the
marching and concert band. Olivia has
enjoyed her many years dancing and it
has taught her many things including
self confidence, dedication, and hard
work. Dance has given her many great friendships and memories that she will
cherish. She thanks her parents for their constant support over the years and
all of her teachers for helping her become the dancer SHE IS TODAY. Olivia
will be attending John Carroll University after graduation where she will major
in pre-health sciences and pursue a career in Physical Therapy.
GYM SHOW NEWS The Gym Show packet should be going out shortly. That packet will have a detailed rehearsal
schedule, a picture schedule and more detailed information pertaining to the Gym Show.
GYM SHOW ADS—Ad forms are due by April 20th. You may place a personal ad or solicit a
business ad if you would like. Competitive team members are required to submit one ad to the
program to defray the cost of pictures. If you do not submit one ad, you will be charged a $30.00
picture fee.
TICKETS—Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, April 10th. This year seats will once again be as-
signed. Cost of tickets is $14.00. Kindercise students will receive a ticket to be seated with their
parents after their performance. Tickets will go on sale at the following times on Wednesday, April
10th:
Saturday 8:30-12:30 team class - 11:30 a.m.
Saturday 12:30-3:30 and 3:30-6:00 p.m. classes - 12:00 noon
All Open Gym, Cheer, Kindercise, Pre-Team - 1:00 p.m.
After this initial ticket sale day, tickets will be available to purchase Monday—Thursday 4:30—
8:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m.—2:00 p.m.
SPRING BREAK We will be closed for

If you have any classes
on Monday, you will be

DANCE NEWS
Ohio Dance Masters Convention in Cleveland
We had a small group of girls attend the ODM Convention in Cleveland the weekend of
March 15-17. Some of the girls are junior members of Ohio Dance Masters and we had
some other dancers join in on the convention. While there, they had a fun, educational,
productive, and very successful weekend. The girls attending the convention were: Aliya
Abeid, Kendall Bartels, Haley DiLullo, Brooke Dinopoulos, Jillian Gady, Carli Hamilton,
and Gabby Romano. All of the girls competed solos in the performing arts competition.
Carli also went through scholarship auditions while she was there.
The girls all did a very good job in the competition. Aliya, Haley, Brooke, Jillian, Carli,
and Gabby all received a Gold Award for their dances. Kendall received a High Gold
Award. Congratulations girls.

Jami Byler’s Dance fit classes
are $6.00 per class. Her
schedule for this year is as fol-

CONDITIONING
Joanne Maloney is teaching
this class geared for people
40—70 years of age. Come try
out the class on Wednesday
and Friday, 9:30—10:30 a.m.
The cost is $8.00 per class.
SUMMER/FALL REGISTRATION
SUMMER REGISTRATION—Please return your summer registration forms as
soon as possible. Any scheduling information you can give us at this time will help
us in creating the summer schedule. Dance and gymnastics classes will begin on
Monday, June 17th.
FALL REGISTRATION—Remember to register for fall classes before July 1st to
avoid an increase in the registration fee. Returning students registration fee is
$15.00 if paid by July 1st. After July 1st, registration is $20.00. Registration for
all new students is $20.00.
Dance-A-Thon The dates for dance-a-thon have been set and you will be receiving a detailed schedule
soon. Dance-a-thon will be held the weekend of May 18 and 19. Remember to check
your mailboxes for the detailed schedule. This is a really important weekend.
DANCE WORKSHOP
Mark Goodman
Mark Goodman will be at the studio for tap workshops in
April. These classes are mandatory for all tap line members.
There is no date set yet, but we will get that to you as soon as
possible. Company tap members will also be learning their
choreography for the dance show.

NEOGL TEAMS - Our NEOGL gymnasts had a busy March. They competed in back to back meets
at Johnson’s Gymnastics and Great Lakes Gymnastics. We are so proud of them and their continued pro-
gress. Their beam work has been very impressive and consistent. Keep working on perfecting your skills
to be prepared for the championship meet next month.
The following gymnasts placed in the top five all-around in their age groups at Johnson’s: Bronzes Rosie
Simko, 5th and Reagan Peoples, 1st; Silvers Mia Quinlan 3rd; Abbey Steiner, 4th; Emily Zimbardi, 2nd;
Angela Zimbardi, 5th; Nieva Fegert, 3rd; Ryley Prior, 4th; Renee Wright, 3rd; Kristina Vecchione, 2nd;
Melina Missos, 3rd; Lauren Wright, 3rd; Zoe Martin, 4th; Darah McKinney, 5th. Gold Halle Argiro, 3rd.
At the Great Lakes Meet, placing in the top five all-around were: Bronze gymnasts Caelyn Globeck, 1st;
Madison Whyde, 3rd; Emma Zitkovic, 3rd; Nia Missos, 5th; Reagan Peoples, 2nd; Sydnee Ervin, 2nd;
Capri Carchedi, 4th. Silvers placing top five were Emily Zimbardi, 2nd; Darah McKinney, 2nd; Kailey
Baker, 3rd; Kristina Vecchione, 1st; Arianna Morar-Lentine, 2nd; Lily Sargent, 3rd; Nieva Fegert, 3rd;
Lauren Wright, 4th; Melina Missos, 2nd; Lacie Dingess, 5th. Golds placing top five are Halle Argiro, 3rd;
Alyssa Dillon, 5th.
USAG XCEL STATE MEET Our Xcel gold and platinum gymnasts competed at their state meet the weekend of March 30-31! This meet was held at the Niles Wellness Center. Placing in the top ten for our Gold team were Ella Nagy, 10th on bars, 6th on beam, 8th on floor, and 9th all-around; Koreylynn Kennedy placed 8th on floor; Mia Melone placed 8th on floor. Our Platinum gymnasts did very well. Placing in the top ten were Brooke DeBucci placing 9th on bars, 7th on beam, 5th on floor, 10th all-around; Cali Matey placed 6th on vault, 2nd on bars, 1st on beam, 4th on floor, and 1st all-around, which makes Cali state champion Xcel Plati-num gymnast on beam and in all-around. We are so proud of all of the girls that competed and very excit-ed to have some of the girls qualify to go on to compete at regionals in Kentucky! The gymnasts qualifying for regionals are: Cali Matey, Brooke DeBucci, and Ella Nagy.
TEAM BANQUET
We will be sending home information regarding the banquet soon. We are trying to schedule the banquet
the end of May or beginning of June. If you have any conflicts that you are aware of, please let Chris
know.
TEAM CLINIC
The competitive team will once again be holding a clinic this summer. This clinic is a week of more in-
tense workouts where the girls can learn a lot of new tricks. We do mix in some fun as well. They are
normally taught an upbeat dance during the clinic and on Friday, the second half of the day is filled with
a fun activity to let the girls relax and have fun as a team. In the past we have taken them swimming,
bowling, or to the movies. A sign up will come home with the girls as soon as the dates are set.
KENT STATE GYMNASTICS CAMP
This summer Kent State University will once again be offering two sessions of gymnastics camps for gym-
nasts of all levels 3—elite, ages 8 through 18. If you are interested, please go online to
www.kentstategymnasticscamps.com. These camps fill up very quickly, REGISTER EARLY!!
