Wells is also on this committee.
This Library Team is responsible for maintaining The Greens library for
the enjoyment of the community. They accept book donations, sort and
shelve them, remove older books to make room for new arrivals, and
pack up the discards to be sold at the Southwest Library Book Sales.
John Martinez has taken these discarded books for resale at our local
library branch for the past 10 years.
Each of the team members has an assigned day of the week to work in
the library but Kay would welcome any resident who would like to join
the group. Just give her a call.

POOL NEWS
I hope by the time you read this
our weather has improved
enough to enjoy our pools.
Please enjoy the pool area, but
put back the furniture where you
found it and put umbrellas down
after use. We have noticed some
dirt thrown in the pool. If you see
vandalism, report it to security
( the phone number is posted at
the clubhouse) and to manage-
ment.

June is here. June brings the longest day of the year, and also has some mathematical uniqueness
built into it, that probably qualifies as useless information. However it is very interesting. There is
no other month that begins on the same day of the week as June. Also, the day of the week June
ends on is the same day of the week as March every year.
The Board of Directors met on May 14, 2019. While the agenda was rather short, the following
actions of interest were taken:
1. Held a hearing on a violation of our CC&R’s by a resident. As a result of the hearing your
board levied the maximum amount of penalties available, and will take further action if
necessary.
2. Received a refund check in the amount of $564.00 from our insurance carrier, for our good
workers compensation record during calendar year 2018.
3. Took action to resurface the shuffleboard and bocce ball courts at Ridge Oak Clubhouse.
While the survey sent to residents asking for thoughts on possible new amenities at Ridge
Oak did indicate an interest for some new amenities, such as a Pickle Ball court, our budget
does not allow us to expend the costs of these new amenities at this time. The funding for
the resurfacing mentioned above is built into, and planned for, in our reserve study. Thus
we are going ahead with these expenditures.
4. Heard updates from the hard working committees. Our Swimming Pool Committee
mentioned that there have been instances of vandalism in our pools. If you see any
suspicious activity please call Trans West Security. In addition, residents that use our pool
areas were asked to take umbrellas down, and return the lounge chairs to upright position
when leaving.
5. Took action to (a) set September 10, 2019 as the date for our Annual Meeting, and counting
of the ballots for board member elections (b) appoint Terry Hopkins as Chair of the Nomi-
nating Committee and (c) appoint Martin Hussey as Inspector of Elections.
6. Thanked Kelly Management for their service over the years as management firm to The
Greens. Kelly will be responsible for management of the Greens until June 30, 2019. The
Management Trust will assume management responsibility on July 1, 2019. It was also
announced that The Management Trust will hold a “Meet and Greet” session for our
residents on July2, 2019 at 2:00 PM at White Oak. This will be an excellent opportunity for
you to meet our new management firm. Please try to attend.
As mentioned above, there will be elections for the Greens Board coming up. There will be three
(3) seats up for election, and your board urges that any resident that is interested and qualified,
to run for the board. Information about running for the board, and the upcoming election will be
forthcoming via hard copy and e-mail.
