Dear All, It is my pleasure to announce that Mrs Judy McFadyen has accepted the position of Relieving Principal, while I am on leave. Mrs McFadyen is an extremely experienced educator and will bring to the school many skills. I personally have worked with Judy in a number of settings over the years and I feel the school is extremely lucky to get somebody of her calibre to come to lead Jugiong Public School. I would like to thank Mr Richard Hyles, as President of the Jugiong School P & C for representing the parent community in the selection process and Mrs Jenny Weston for representing the staff. Mr Jim Roworth, Relieving Director for the Cootamundra Network, was the convenor of the selection process. Mrs McFadyen will be taking up her position on Monday 26th May till December 19th, she will be coming to the school over the first few weeks to meet the staff and students. On the last Friday of this term (Friday 11th) the school leaders will be conducting a “Mufti Day and Face Painting” for a gold coin donation to go to a charity. The School Captains, Leah and Archie, have decided that the money will go to Cancer Research. They as a leadership group understand how cancer has “touched our school community” and they want to play their part in giving a donation. So parents please give your children a gold coin for the “leadership group” so they can paint the students’ faces as some fantastic animal.
Just a quick reminder that during the holidays the school grounds are part of the “Inclosed Lands Act” and only people with a Departmental reason can be on school grounds. The school will be patrolled as it is during school time.
ANZAC Day information is in the Jugiong Journal section of the newsletter.
I hope everybody returns from holidays, safe and well. The teachers return on Monday 28th April and student on Tuesday 29th April.
Regards,
Russell

Assembly
The term 1 assembly will be tomorrow (Thursday 10th), starting at 2:15pm.
Year 6 to Year 7 Forms for 2015
The school requires these forms returned so that the process can begin and the schools that these students are attending can be notified and financial and class plans can begin.
BOWNING ATHLETICS
A note is going home today to organise the permission and transport for the Bowning Athletics Carnival on the first Friday back from holidays. It is extremely important that parents forward the information in as quickly as possible. School students return from holidays on the Tuesday (29th April) and the carnival is on the Friday. That does not give much time to organise transport for all students, so advanced notice would be extremely helpful!
MOTHERS LUNCH
Notes have gone home for the mothers’ lunch, please, ensure they are returned. Parents can you please donate some cakes and slices for the morning tea and give your children money to purchase these. Usual price is 20 cents for a cake or slice, it is not a money making venture.
Students will be manning the stall, so they get experience in handling money.
