Chemistries and Compounds on Fasteners and Other Threaded Parts.
Jenway General provides an engineering value addition manufacturing service to
OEM suppliers and end users of pre-applied fasteners and other threaded parts,
since 1997. This service calls for the pre-application (as distinct from “on-line
application) of adhesive or sealant chemistries on a specied band width of the
threaded part which is required primarily by the auto industry.
Jenway started in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand State, in 1997 with the supply of pre-
applied fasteners to Tata-Cummin's engine plant and to Tata Motor's truck plant. In
2000, a coating unit was installed in Chennai to meet the high volume requirement
for pre-applied fasteners by Sundram Fasteners Limited, rst among other
customers.
Today, Jenway is the largest volume coater of threaded parts in India employing
semi-automatic machines, with technical support being provided by the Bradley
Group of St. Charles, Illinois, U.S.A., Henkel Adhesives Technologies India Limited
and 3M India Limited with the trusted brands of Loctite®, 3M® and ND®

PRE APPLIED THREAD LOCKING

ND PATCH®
ND Patch is a pre-applied process which fuses a nylon threadlocking coating to
internal or external threads of fasteners making them self-locking and self-sealing
(also known as a prevailing torque type fasteners). ND Patch fasteners are dry to the
touch and ready for immediate use and unlike reactive thread lockers, require no
cure time after installation.
Typical Application: Steering Columns, Engine Applications, Brakes, Rear-End, Transmissions,
Areas of Vibration, Areas of Heat, Military Fasteners, Snowboard / Ski binding mounting screws.
ND STRIP®
Typical Application: Military fasteners, Aerospace.
Normally a resilient bar of Nylon that is inserted into a slot which has been milled
into a threaded fastener, ND Strip makes fasteners self-locking, self-sealing, and yet
fully adjustable. Ideal for all types and sizes of commercial, automotive, and
aerospace fasteners, ND Strip delivers outstanding performance in both high and
low temperature extremes. Due to its compressibility, resiliency, and resistance to
deformation, fasteners using ND Strip can be repeatedly removed and adjusted.
VIBRA-TITE® VC-3®
Pre-Applied Vibra-Tite VC-3 is a process in which customer fasteners are coated in
bulk with VC-3 Threadlocker. VC-3 is a unique process which makes fasteners self-
locking and sealing, but are still adjustable, removable, and reusable. A blend of cold
ow acrylic polymers, VC-3 acts like a shock absorber, dampening vibration and
preventing fastener assembly thread rotation.
Typical Application: From tiny eyeglass screws to huge construction bolts, Vibra-tite VC-3
processing is ideal for use on fasteners of any size. VC-3 can serve as an alternative to ND Patch
when low installation torques are required along with the need for adjustability and
reusability.
ND EPOXY-LOCK®
Epoxy-Lock is a process in which a two part epoxy system is applied to male or female
threaded fasteners of all sizes and congurations; creating powerful self-locking &
self-sealing fasteners. Epoxy-Lock processing is compatible with a very wide range of
material types and nishes including wood, ceramic, many plastics and more.
Typical Application: Engine Applications, Automotive Locking Applications, Automotive
Body/Frame Bolts, Suspension Areas, Brakes, Rear-End, Transmissions. Ring gear bolts, Head
bolts, Intake manifold bolts, Transmission bolts.
ND PELL-IT®
ND Pell-it is a pre-applied process which makes either male or female threaded
fasteners of virtually any size, material or nish, self-locking. It involves drilling a
hole into fastener threads and inserting a tough plug or pellet of nylon. It delivers
outstanding performance in both high and low temperature extremes. Due to its
compressibility, resilience and resistance to deformation, fasteners utilizing ND Pell-
it processing can be repeatedly removed and adjusted.
Typical Application: Military fasteners, Aerospace.
ND EXPAND-A-LOCK®
Typical Application: Use Expand-A-Lock to seal critical applications where shock, vibration and
uid pressure cause the fastener to loosen or the joint to leak. Typical applications include:
Marine Ride Plates, Head Bolts, Engine Plugs and bolts, Pipe Fittings, Air tting connectors.
Expand-A-Lock is a unique pre-applied microencapsulated expanding threadlocking
and sealing compound. Expand-A-Lock increases in volume 20 to 50% on
installation, penetrating the gaps in fastener threads that are typically unlled by
conventional threadlockers. Pre-Applied to fasteners, Expand-A-Lock arrives dry to
the touch and ready for assembly.
