JCI World Congress
Daily NewsDay 4 of the 2015 JCI World Congress started off with a bang as delegates attended
the JCI Morning Show for another fun filled morning. Special guest and UN Millennium
Campaign Director Mitchell Toomey spoke to Morning Show attendees on the ways in
which young active citizens can use the Global Goals for Sustainable Development to
advocate for positive change throughout their local communities. Immediately following,
JCI members continued the conversation with Toomey during the Advancing the Global
Goals for Sustainable Development session where they discussed grassroots actions how
they can initiate. JCI members received feedback on how they can be advocates of change
for the next 15 years.
During General Assembly II, Founder of the Rose of Sharon Foundation, Folorunsho Alakija
opened the session with an empowering keynote encouraging everyone to collaborate to
maximize impact. The night concluded as delegates gathered at Japan Night to celebrate
another successful day with the rhythms and exciting culture of the Congress host country.
